I've never tried Sungkyunkwan scandal I don't really like the main actress. But I can endure it ^.^ if story is good.

seducing MrPerfect - is typical romcom, girl wants to impress handsome arrogant guy, ofc they tend to fight and misunderstood each other and in the end she wins him over ^.^ story is light and funny

temptation of wolves is a love story of main girl with bad boy and her relationship with her step brother, it's a high-school story but really touching in the end - loving the brother which is played by Kang Dong Won ^^ my sweetie pie!

Yes my Mum is awesome ^.^ she loves to read books and watch all sort of films - her favorite is Mulan ^^

Oh my GOD! hikikomori?! Geez... ok I like dramas, and I sometimes watch them for whole weekend but your friend behavior is really strange, that she's doing nothing else, it would be eventually so boring.
Most Polish also know English, but my Mum likes to watch some Korean, Japan or Chinese movies and she cannot understand eng subs, so I translate it so she could watch it with me ^.^ She's nearly 70 so it would be hard for her to learn a whole new language :D still it's wonderful she gets me *.*

You can sub english to greek ^.^ You would be surprised how many Greeks love dramas, I'm sure of it. I met a lot drama fans in my class when I was learning japanese.
I met many Polish on MDL also O.O so dramas aren't so unknown as I thought >.<

I used to sub on viki also, but thought english to polish, if I could understand japanese I would sub, I like it. Oh yeah kanji is so hard! I tried to learn japanese ^.^

I saw tokkan then I was searching for new jdrama ^^ but Vision ~ Koroshi ga Mieru Onna got me more interested .

If you don't like cancer stories when maybe scent of woman isn't for you. I love the main actress in this drama so I watched it with pleasure although I cried a lot and I know people that fought with this disease. I just loved the chemistry between main leads, and that main actress told in the beginning of the story that she will get younger richer man and show that she can achieve everything. I think I will watch it again ^^ and that tango scenes OMG actions says more then words! You can express love thought dancing ... achhhh :D

Hmm that lesson that friendship cannot be broken over love for the same woman. Reply 1997 have the same vibe, but a lot more. My friend hates cliches and over romantic plots and yet she loved reply and watched it with me till the end ^^ if you like dramas which shows friendship, family bound and all ups and downs of life watch 1997 ^^ it has a lot of humor too.

What's the lesson in HYD? ^^
Every dramas have some cliches, that's nothing new, I saw what kdramas you tried and I can give you many couple titles ^^ that are not so cliche as you think.
King2Hearts; The Bridal Mask; Reply 1997; City Hall; Scent of a Woman - every title has unique story and great acting ^^ and ofc Innocent Man - so far it's great for me *.*

But that style like in HYD - annoyed me too much ^^ everyone has it's limits
I avoided romcom based on anime in jdramas - cause they were too anime acting for me. When I started to watch more mature jdramas I got hooked.
