I honestly believe they are setting her up. They know tht she is a spy for Lak, and she is sleeping with Danai. You have to remember that Rut had her investigated and she have been with Danai for years and it will show up. They know she is the weak link.

Praomook acts like she realized that she only wants to be a platonic friend to Lan by the way she congratulated him for standing up for himself and comforted him at the end.
