The ML in TD was barely present. I watched like 20 ep before dropping and he would appear for 2 min per episode to save her and then he would leave again...

same, after reading novel spoilers, I don't think I'd like it... but the ML in the drama is really good

I also like that he feels comfortable to come clean to her (except for her birth secret). the amount of trust they have for each other is great to watch

I am also very disappointed in this regards tbh. Like, he is not even allowed to go out of his yard by his farther and everyone just turning a blind eye on this. And once LYN started to care for him, they also suddenly started to send him clothes and treat him nicely. But before this they would not even treat him as a part of the family (when LYN told her gradma that Xuan is not the only son in the family)
