Looked throught the comments, but i still don't get why she needs ti save XL. they both agreed TTJ won't kill him. So where does the rush come from, ie within 6 days?
Honestly if the producers intended to go a purely hero focused route, it would have been more logical to cut Yebei…
yes, i would like to see yebei's stuff via short flashbacks instead of what we got, editors did a bad job there. if they only wanted it could still be a better show with a more coherent story even with all the cuts.
but i do think that they cut the yebei stuff to the bare minimum in the second part, they could not get rid of everything because we still got Yebei people at key positions in the show (like princess being next to the empreror when they travelled back) and that black guy being with YWY at the very end

I agree about bed scene. Because their dialogue has few weird lines otherwise. Like she asked "are you YX". And he answered "did you not figure it out last night?"
In the aired version it does not make sense to me. But if she first comes to him and says that she is going to sleep with him, then this dialogue next morning makes sense.
