I always thought that it was because Pat had kept Pran's guitar for 4 (around) years. Pat knew it was important to Pran and keeping the guitar showed that he cared. It reminded them of their high school days and showed that even though they had been separated, they still thought about each other. It was a symbol, but when Pran lent it to Wai, Pat possibly believed that it wasn't as important to Pran as he initially thought. Sorry, this is a lil lengthy, hopefully it helps.

That's true, years apart in any type of relationships can lead to different affinities. However, it does allow for development outside of their relationship and bonds can remain intact despite the jump. When the timeskips are long tho, that does lean into the more depressing category lol
Ik many ppl are anxious about the possible breakup, but I've always loved a good reunion scene. The characters get to change and we get to see how time has affected their dynamic.

You keep saying things I wholeheartedly agree with. What's fun and interesting about a show if you know exactly where it's gonna go? Sometimes two individuals can be a great match, but perhaps they are together at a wrong time.
The OST works so well because even though its our first time listening to it, it feels so familiar. It's nostalgic and can evoke many emotions within the viewer. The opening melody paired with beautiful lyrics. I love it!
