Title Her Private Life Spoiler
Bruh what? It’s been awhile since I’ve seen it but I don’t remember him being possessive and controlling…
She was only hiding because she thinks he doesn't know and she worries it will come between them. He doesn't want her to feel she has to hide half her life any more and decides to take the opportunity to confront this. There's nothing controlling there, he's not outing her, he's not manipulating the situation at all. He also knows Eun Gi has an ulterior motive and is *trying* to come between them and prove he 'knows her better', not selflessly protecting her. *Eun Gi* is trying to manipulate the situation.

Ryan is endlessly nice and patient and considerate of her throughout this show, including when she sabotaged his food and nearly killed him (which if you want to talk about something that would be totally unacceptable in real life- being a server and fucking with someone's food is it). Your read on the character is just not supported by the text at all. The only reason he doesn't say 'hey, don't worry I already know' as soon as he walks up is so they can have a cliffhanger. That's just how dramas are. But he says it immediately in the following episode and makes sure they're okay. Because his actual character is incredibly conscientious.
