there's a huge flaw in the last episode that required my suspension of disbelief to be over 9000 but overall it's good. definitely a drama stays on your mind afterwards.
Aiba's not that good here so the supporting cast is carrying this. Namase Katsuhisa is hilarious tho and I love the crime scene reenactments the servants do, that's my favourite part of the show
Yeah so kinda thin plot, cheesy scenes, the usual yanki stuff and shonen nakama moments, but the main reason I started watching this was for the fights that I saw in the trailers. At first I was impressed because some fight sequences were done with long takes so they had to keep changing positions, running in and out of the frame etc, it must have been difficult with so many people involved in one brawl at large location. But after looking up some Exile Tribe stuff I guess being in-sync with a shitload of people at once isn’t that difficult for them lol.
I liked the SWORD leaders, the unhinged mofos and the stoic ones and props to the one who played WR bossman with his pimp cane and his pimp coat and lennons/ozzy glasses. At first I though he was going to be a clown and I was bracing myself to hate him, perhaps because I didn’t know who Keiji was and what to expect of him unlike the other 4. I mean looking at his photo Keiji looks so nondescript, like your friendly neighborhood ossan... the joke’s on me #partytime
The music tho. It really goes far beyond the average jdrama ost. The first thing I did after watching s1 was search for the album. Entertainment wise this drama delivered 100% for me.
