This show was super hyped and i was excited due to jes. But somehow with all the side characters the show feels like something is missing. KP was atleast interesting but here with good acting it feels rushed and just aimed to confuse the viewers but no actual storytelling. I feel they could have used jess more better way. It was super good till ep 4 but then just feels like they have a shallow story and want keep dragging till last ep. I hope it doesnt end like another dff.

I wonder if uncut version has mandarin subs. Because it feels they are catering this show towards chinese fans more

spot on! I dont understand the complain at all except maybe toning down the story. But i actually like it that way. Here in this version we see how hero’s caring nature towards pop is moving him abit. So when he agrees to be with him wont seem awkward but in chinese it was very badly portrayed. Acting wise these two are doing well than manu other thai bl actors tbh. Age gap thing is bringing this series down , otherwise ita pretty decent adaptation. I did not like bromance stay with me at all.

i would believe he has already gotten user to him. Chinese version gu hai also had become obsessed by now but i guess toxic turn would be when he pop will try to leave him (when they find out that they are half brothers) pop would try to break his friendship and hero will kidnap him. I think it should be in ep 6or 7th

I felt exactly the same after watching the oh chinese version. Maybe because i watched it now in 2024 and it was so cringey and over the top. This version is atleast better but i get what you mean. The story like this only works in certain era (2015-2019)

Chinese OG version Gu hai(hero) was super obsessed , it was actually over the top and uncomfortable for me atleast. Hero is much milder comparitively and thats one of the reason people here are not liking it because they think the show is not same as chinese one. I understand their perspective but i prefer this version seems more believable.

i think you should just give your opinion and ket people decide if they want to watch or not. You cant say” dont waste your time, watch or read the novel”.
According to me novel was bullshit and so was the OG version. The stay with me was like a bromance . But thats my opinion i wont tell people to not watch or read it. Its upto the people to decide. This is not meant to be hate towards you but just general opinion

I agree with you about something felt offf with stay with me. I couldnt get into it maybe because it was bordering bromance. But this one does feel better for me too. But also i diskiked the OG version, where characters were really out of sense of even a decent bit of reality
