Hanyu is overly persistent (no means no) and he's full of shit. He claims to want to make everyone happy but all he really does is forces his ideas of happiness onto people in the interest of beating Komikado. In the polygamy episode he literally tries to break up a family just because of an old-fashioned Karen mum and is upset when they find a way to stay together.
Mayuzumi is too quick to forget issues between episodes. She is betrayed by him and tells him to never ask her to change firms again, and then in the next episode she hears him out again and goes back to singing his praises.

Something that started to get old was Mayuzumi's naivety leading to her undermining Komikado. I know something has to hold back his greatness and create some tension, but I started to roll my eyes after a while.

I'm watching Legal High after this and it seems like Kyogoku was ripped off from the butler with his seemingly endless knowledge and skills in different areas.
It's really funny, but I wish it had have stayed somewhat grounded in reality.
Episode 6 was ridiculous. The wife getting the divorce literally tried to kill her husband's lawyer in a room full witnesses (mostly other lawyers) and they just let her walk out afterwards with no consequences. What a crock of shit. They could have won the whole case before it even started by getting her arrested for attempted murder.
This was really fun, even though some of the court practices were a bit questionable. It felt like the other side could object to whatever they wanted, but our team just sat their quietly while the other side did whatever they wanted. The side characters added a lot to the story and to the comic relief.
I like how they give their main characters a hobby. Doctor X had mahjong and Takanashi Shoko is a train enthusiast.
I watched this with English subs on a flight to Japan last year. I don't know why it hasn't been released anywhere else yet. I want to watch it again now that I've watched the rest of the series lol
It's shallow from a medical perspective; basically every victim dies and is somehow brought back every time while…
So they manage to save every single victim from all of the ridiculous situations and the one person they can't ass-pull a save for is his sister? She got the same CPR + adrenaline + defib as every single other victim in the show. If they were going to be unrealistic about that working they should at least be consistent. The writers really hated the sister with her ridicilous decision to betray her brother to save Japanese Rafael Nadal's career. Of course she could just waltz in to the scene of a bombing to visit her brother. Of course when her brother was running at her in a panic telling her to throw the bomb away, she stared at it for about 5 minutes with a confused look on her face before finally throwing it.
Man I really could have loved this show if the writing was a little bit stronger and they were a bit more realistic about the medical side of things.

That being said, it's still a decent watch. The actors carry the show and the action is good. The writing is pretty weak - I thought the political side plot was okay, but the hero's sister's story and the whole villain plot sucked. 7.5/10
At first it seems like the big brother is just latching onto his little brother to take advantage of him but it turns out he’s sick and wants to make sure his little brother can take care of himself before he dies.
For me: No Other Choice (not watched, because I've loved the book and i'm scared to be disappointed)Decision to…
Thanks for sharing. In hindsight I bumped my Cyborg score a little bit. I haven’t read the book but I think you should still watch this since you’re clearly a fan of PCW. It’s a pretty straightforward story so I can’t see any deviations from the source being too offensive and it’s beautiful to look at and well-acted at the very least.
Dropped towards the end of episode two. The writing is awful. The actions and motivations of the characters don't…
Episode 1: The ML is a veteran elite bodyguard and we just watched a montage of him training and getting back into shape, including a demonstration of his great fighting ability. Then he gets the shit kicked out of him by a mere journalist. There's no explanation of the journalist's ability to fight or rig a remote-detonated smoke bomb.
Episode 2: The bodyguards both turn their back on the woman they're supposed to be protecting, but she's still only a foot away from each of them. She sneaks away from them unheard and is totally out of their sights when they turn around a couple of seconds later, despite the fact that she was wearing heels.
