Exactly! The plot twists on every episode gives me anxiety. lol A reveal, a confession or even a kiss between the leads early in the story makes you paranoid. It's like the calm before the shitstorm.

Same here. I have been watching kdrama for years and it's not like I am expert in acting but her and the actress who plays Yoo Na, are flat. I couldn't relate to the parts that are supposedly emotional because their faces looked like they are trying to squeeze out a tear but nothing is coming out. And it can be her character but the way she delivers her lines ( whether it's towards her fiancee or the elders around her) are like that of a 5 year old. It's supposedly cute but not to me.

OMG, you and me both. I struggled with her during the reveal. No backbone whatsoever. I get that she was in a tough decision to choose but dang why break your fiancée's heart like that without even weighing things. I already had issues with her from the beginning but dang she is frustrating. I also feel their chemistry is a bit flat to me, not sure if it's the acting but the relationship seems organically underdeveloped.

Also how cute panicky Kiyoko's face was when he sees Miyo crying when he had just praised her cooking? lol He like, "oh no! what did I do?! did I add to her trauma just now?!"

They are all coming for Miyo which was their target all along, which is the twist because we are made to think they wanted to obliterate Kiyoka.

I stumbled upon this movie on a flight from Frankfurt to LA. I went thru it twice. I thought they turned the romance down a notch compared to the anime version (which I watched later on Netflix) as it's more focused on the grotesqueries but the essence was still there. Anyways, I read Ren Meguro's interview about filming this on an old Japanese town with older houses and the ceilings were too low that he keeps bumping his head on the door beams to point of getting dizzy. (LOL, poor guy) I do notice that Kiyoka's head was too close to the ceiling and when he walks with his co-stars he sticks out towering them all.
