This is seriously a surprised drama. Drama with weirdly interesting and surprised content though the execution rather flat, but Matsuda Shota really kakkoi, I hope he appears again in this kind of role. I couldn't believe he only do one drama a year, I need more.
This is an enjoyable youth drama. I like the bgm, the piano tune and the landscape was so beautiful, it got perfect summer vibes. It's a great cinematography. If watching this, try it without thinking too much about the plot because it's lacking in that.
Yep I agree with you, the purpose of this drama is that just a simply story about youth romance. At first I was…
I'm so glad you find it interesting to read mine. I don't have good insight about drama. Really thankful for that. I thought I shouldn't comment again about this, but now I kinda have interested in voicing it. :D I also afraid of picking series because of the rating here, so I like to read some reviews and yours. You know, I can't believe you find it silly and bah hahaha.. xD Let me know how you feel about my opinion.
In the end I thought that you don't like hard character that screaming or cute fluffy, while I find that couldn't actually make me rage, and I don't know why you called it much. If go to that direction, stick to that rather than over the place or didn't really go anywhere.
This drama actually is lacking in potraying weighlifting world it made me a little uncomfortable but strangely it was never really a problem, at least they tried, particularly due to all the dramas I watched there always unbelievable situations I get, even the highest one that rated or I like.
I think it didn't give element to make male lead true characters' growth, because in first place he had no initiative whatsoever. I know that's why he had PTSD, as a son, more than focusing on being abandoned, his focus and priority should be on 'why' his mother never really give care, his realized thought of his mother's feel was fitted enough for me to resolved that. Because if it was more than that, it will make it draggy.
The point you write is different than mine. As I came to the conclusion it's great because they do not pushing it too much while it has that dirrection plot to work. The theme is youth romance and writer give point and reason and they emphasis that with good quality. I still believe their acting is very good despite that mediocre script. I'm particularly thinking, I couldn't disagree with this kind of drama, rather than a show that finally falls under its own weight.
Very objectively, I rated this drama originally at 8 but changed it to 9, because it was so convincing, as I can say interesting approach, simple story but have goals, memorable relationship (and some of my one sided personal interest like the OST or main character relationship goal). Definitely a flowing storyline despite being rather ordinary, it's sincere and fairly entertaining but nonetheless don't expect a masterpiece and any kind of surprise or twist.
I'm not good at english so it's been very long time since last time I've wrote long sentence about drama but this is how I feel. :)
I agree with Marooya, I can't wait to see your review about Goblin too ^-^, if you write one. There's very few different perspective out there, I'm so curious with yours.
Yep I agree with you, the purpose of this drama is that just a simply story about youth romance. At first I was hesitated to buy this drama, the beginning is not that good and the show wasn't laugh-out-loud funny for me too. It's the natural progressed story and the acting that kind to draw me in, as I can say they were being properly in love, properly happy, and the friendship they had give me after taste also the compatible match of couple.
About the story seems to rush his problem while it doesn't give me believable situation about weightlifting, I also agree, but this childlisly adressed problem was the opposite for me, I came to appreciate it and like how it was resolved in one single episode, it isn't bad because it works. After all the time he spent waiting, he simply has to let go.. and embraced everything he had now. Be mature.
The 9.1 rating maybe overated. It isn't the best drama ever, also not the worst. Of course this is in my view.
ps: I want to say welcome back, I'm glad you back ^^, I'm quiet a fan of your reviews. :)
Very very good. I believe it was underrated. It's not the usual kind of drama, and it was soo much interesting. You will intrigued what will you do if you were put on the main lead situation and it got me so much thought going on. The story itself has quality plot and I can not stop wanting to watching.
Very touching and meaningful drama, about how to deal with autism. They really doing great job and it was wonderfully performed by the little boy as well. Though it was bit boring because they added some details but it's not slow and the ending was so good.
I still remember I'm very much liked it back then, I love the father-daughter relationship. They were really the sweetest father-daughter ever. Every episode giving you some twists, though only the second half was really interesting for me and the last few episodes kinda let down but it's worth watching and the girl really had very good acting..
It's very fun drama and very interesting. The meaningful messages it gives truly touched my heart. The three main character relationship which give a hint of love never really favor their friendship and I liked that. The story itself isn't deep, but it got nice development and I like Nakai Kiichi here, he was really encouraging, and he's perfect for that role.
In the end I thought that you don't like hard character that screaming or cute fluffy, while I find that couldn't actually make me rage, and I don't know why you called it much. If go to that direction, stick to that rather than over the place or didn't really go anywhere.
