which one should i watch :cruel city,i hear your voice or innocent man ,im confused
^Yeah, pretty much summed it up.
It's noir based so you'll view drug distribution, violence, prostitution, and etc. Jung Kyung Jo acting is praiseworthy! Every character is so interesting you want to know more about them. A lot of entanglements and heart-wrenching emotions. The high momentum carries itself from episode 1 to episode 20.
Synopsis is misleading and too revealing, it could be called spoiler.
It's interesting to see a portion of people "disappointed" by the misleading synopsis, because what is about the synopsis that makes you think there will be more romance? "Falls for the organization king pin." I don't believe it says anywhere "drug lord falls in love with undercover and they live happily ever after."
If you look at the trailers for this show it has nothing do with romance. It shows the "undercover" avatar where the main leads are putting each other at gun point.
The first couple of episodes were dedicated to introducing all the characters and developing the story which would eventually lead to the undercover aspect. Did you really want the undercover mission to start in the first or second episode and by the last two episodes he finds out the truth and it ends. Which is true because that is how Korean dramas work. Thank god the story doesn't entirely involve around the undercover mission because then Heartless City wouldn't have been the masterpiece it is at this moment. I thank the misleading synopsis because when I went into watching this drama I was blown away because it turned out better then the synopsis.
With dark dramas like this this is the sort of romance you are going to get. Why would you want a mushy love story in the midst of all the seriousness. It would break the flow of the show. Because the romantic angle is realistic you won't know if they are going to get a happy ending or sad and that's one of the excitements to see how everything will work out in the end. With a strong character like Doctor's Son this kind of love is suitable.
I feel sorry that Jung Kyung Ho had to finish filming the final episodes with such a nasty back injury. He's an…
I just read the article and really hit my emotions because he comes back from the army and HC is his first project. He has put so much dedication and depth into this show and to see him like this is saddening. Now his future plans are on hold. He's been in pain for several weeks and yet he still was doing action scenes. My respect for this actor just increases by day. I wish him a speedy recovery!
is this drama better than city hunter?
i really loved city hunter
I wouldn't compare CH and HC because even though they both have action, revenge, and etc they're both on different levels. Heartless City is much more dark and complicated. I liked CH in fact loved, but it doesn't hit your emotions as hard as it does in this drama. Definitely give it a try and you will notice the difference.
You suck the fun out of the show if you're trying to look for Shi Hyun/Soo Min interaction every other 10 minutes. This show is not a melodrama. If this was all about the love angle it would have started in the first couple of episodes. It contributes to the story but it's not the overall thing.
Not only is this the best drama of the year it's going in the history. You can't possibly compare other dramas with this. It's mastered up to the level that Heartless City is its own competition.
