Dissapointing

This series was sadly so disappointing. I loved the concept of it mainly revolving around the swim team and them going through their trial and tribulations. It was new, it was different, but, the execution of the characters and the story fell short.

I was 100% behind Waii and Apo, and I don't even like enemies to lovers, but New and Earth are incredible actors and they played the tension off so well. I immediately lost interest after the s*xual as*ult happened. It was uncalled for, it was purposeless, and ruined any hope that I had for them. BLs have to learn that consent is sexy and romanticizing anything outside of consent is ugly as fuck. After those events, I was so close to dropping this series, but I then came Kluay and Achi and I stayed. I loved the dynamic of these two, but sadly we barely got to see anything go on between them. I would've much rather watched these two than anything else that happened in this series.

I guess this is more of a side BL in a regular drama since we had to deal with the drama of the actual main couples. Quite frankly, the leading females were dramatic and unbearable. I would like these shows to stop treating their female characters with basic stereotypes and actually give them real traits. Also didn't like how they played out Pan to be a lesbian and then just do a 180 and end up with Fah. Would've loved to see her story with her female love interest.

There was also some weird stuff that went on between the coach and one of the players. Kind of awkward, and felt forced.

Overall, this show had good acting and a good production team. I loved the friendships that we saw and the new concept that was tried out. I love New and Earth, but this was not it. I don't think they had good chemistry, especially after the unfortunate events. So glad they found other partners to work with that they can create good on-screen chemistry with.

S-Saint? Is that you?

This is one of those series in which people chose sides when it came to who was the better couple. It was kind of like Edward vs Jacob but in the sense of their couples and not feral beasts. I had heard the tragic news about Saint not being in LBC season 2 (maybe that was a good choice cause season 2 was a hot mess) and after my watch, I wanted so badly to see him again. So, I turned on Why R U the next day and dropped it almost immediately after. It took me MONTHS before I could pick it up again.

I stopped this series at episode 3 once I started understanding the plot and realized that Zon's sister was writing erotic fan-fiction about her brother and his enemy. Who woke up one morning and thought that this was okay? Right off the bat I was uncomfortable and felt like I was being backed up into a wall and forced to enjoy their morally wrong reality. I loved Zon so much, and I was excited to see his relationship grow with Safiah, but it was already so chaotic with fangirls that their relationship was annoying. I was so confused because of the literal 30 characters in this show, all with their own plot, and relationships, and problems and I couldn't keep up WHATSOEVER.

Once I picked it back up again, I was shocked at how versatile Saint is in his acting. I loved Tutor so much, and I loved how confident Saint played this character. even though I loved him, I wasn't much of a fan of him and Fighter. The only thing I really cared for was the plot with Fighter's dad, and how well Saint executed Tutor in having to pretend to not like Fighter. They had lots of intimate moments that were excellent and didn't fall awkward or stiff. That's kind of the only thing this couple had going for them in my opinion. The sexual tension was real.

On the other hand, I absolutely adored Zon and Safiah. Once the fangirls somewhat calmed down, Zon and Safiah had time to really dial down and actually have some real chemistry. The guitar lessons, the dates, the sleepover, and really just everything with this couple were fun and comedic. When it came to their intimate moments, they played off perfect at being sentimental and romantic. I love Tommy and Jimmy and hope to see them in future dramas.

Other aspects I didn’t enjoy were how many side couples there were. There was Japan and Tanthai, and then Zon’s sister and Natee, Hwahwa and Day, and then those three guys on the soccer team. I actually enjoyed Japan a lot, except we didn't get to see much of him and Tanthai at all, so it left their story pointless and unfinished. The love triangle was exciting, I feel like we don't have very many love triangles in which both contestants have an actual chance, but it's obvious that these two did. Due to the pandemic, their plot was rushed and not organized at all. It was a mess, and confusing to keep up with.

This series was fluffy and comedic with the added sad parts, but overall, it was a good series. Zon's sister is still so in the wrong, and there were some other really off situations to happen, but for the most part, everything was just light and heartwarming. This is a good watch for anyone looking for something pretty unrealistic and fun.

Mourning Once Again...

I wasn't at all happy to hear about there being a new cast after seeing 2moons and falling in love with Wayo (Bas to be more specific), but I won't lie, this cast swept me off my feet as well, maybe even more than the first. All actors did an amazing job and the story was further built upon (we got to see Forth and Beam, how exciting is that??!), but, the team behind the 2moons franchise failed these dudes ONCE AGAIN.
I loved Earth as Wayo. He did an excellent job at acting impeccable, cute, and just a ball of sugar. I loved the decisions that he and Ben did with their characters and I loved watching them on screen together. Although I won't lie, I loved Ming and Kit so much in this series. I was so mesmerized by Ming the entire time. He had these eyebrows that captured my attention so quickly and I love Joong so much. Nine and him had the best chemistry out of all the couples. Forth and Beam were perfect as well. We finally get to see their story, and man was it SPICY. Dome is adorable, and Pavel is downright gorgeous, they played a flawless couple.
Even though the story was the exact same, these actors actually added so much to the plots and the characters. I loved the different dynamics of each couple; Wayo and Pha were loveable and sentimental, Ming and Kit were comedic and sunny, and Forth and Beam were sexy and sensuous. Each had a narrative that could appeal to so many different types of people which is what made this story so perfect.
Once again, the plot was still nothing special, except we got to see more and ForthBeam actually had a story. Other than that, it was still a light and fluffy series and a nice watch just to get in a joyful mood.
Outside of the show, the team and whoever is behind the 2moons franchise has hurt these boys just like they had the first cast. If you didn't know, they are once again recasting each main character for 2moons3. At this point, a 2moons3 is pointless and seems so far-fetch that they should just cancel it. Mello Thailand is a problematic company that has done so much wrong to the boys, especially Earth, that I doubt anyone would be dumb enough to audion for the third season. If anything, I try to stay away from any Mello Thailand series since they don't know how to treat their employees. I will once again be mourning the death of this amazing cast and praying for the new ones once they take over.

Typical Uni BL, But with Actors that Make it Worth Watching

At last, this series has finally come to an end. While it’s one of the longest series I’ve kept up with, it also somehow felt like one of the shortest. Honestly, Perfect10Liners has done such an incredible job of keeping things intriguing throughout all 24 episodes. We’ve been given so much, from decent storylines to unforgettable moments, but most importantly, we’ve been introduced to some truly impeccable couples and wildly entertaining actors who basically just played themselves on screen.

Let’s Dive In.

Perfect10Liner is another one of GMMTV's tries at a long ongoing series, which I don't mind as long as it has this style: multiple couples, constant switch-arounds to their stories, decent character arcs. We Are was good, but it lacked a lot plot-wise, with some couples getting more screen time than others, and this series makes sure not to do that. We get eight episodes with each of the three couples, and it builds onto their relationship whilst starting up the next.

I think production was decent, kind of what we normally see, so nothing new here. The product placements felt, once again (for the umpteenth time in a GMMTV series), very pushy. Other than that, there's not a lot to harp on when it comes to production.

Moving onto the couples, I'll go in order of favorite to least favorite.

Faifa and Wine:
Well, for starters, Junior and Mark were the only reason I decided to watch this while it aired, but I didn’t realize until a little later on that this was an anthology-type series. So, it’s only right (and honest!) that they were my favorite couple. Their chemistry was so good, better than we had even received in Cherry Magic. Wine was working to accept his feelings for men, and Faifa was working on not always having to be liked by everyone and do everything for everyone. Junior is seriously the funniest GMMTV actor. Seriously. He played this role to a T; knew when to be funny and when to be sad. I think Mark has a lot more growing to do in the acting department, but nevertheless, did a good job. When it comes to the side characters within Wine and Faifa’s story, they felt very chaste compared to the others. I think they could’ve utilized them a little more, but I’m not too upset by what we got.

Yotha and Gun:
Wow, wow, wow. Santa and Perth knocked it out of the water for their first series as a couple. I wasn’t expecting much, but they completely took me by surprise. In terms of character growth, I think their couple experienced the most, especially Yotha. Something about seeing a brooding, stoic man fall head-over-heels for someone so opposite always does it for me. Lots of great moments and lots of great chemistry. Absolutely adored Aou and Boom in this. So much toxicity and sexiness, literally cannot wait for them in Only Friends. The only real problem I have is the miscommunication that could’ve easily been resolved in so many different scenarios. More so lazy writing than their problem, but it still affects my overall love for them.

Arc and Arm:
Not least because I didn’t like them, but least because they didn’t shine as bright as the other two. But even still, I loved Book in this, probably one of my favorite roles he’s ever played. I think I saw a comedic side of him that I wasn’t ready for, and he did such a stellar job. Force didn’t do much since he was mostly there to be stoic, but protective. I adored their scenes, and I could watch Force pick up Book a hundred times over again. The best part about this couple, though, was Book’s friendships. I don’t care very much for Poon and Mark, and their relationship felt a little awkward anyway, but when it was Book, Poon, and JJ, I laughed every single time. I’m going to miss them the most.

Overall, this is nothing spectacular, it’s just another uni BL, but with actors that do so well in their roles that it feels a lot bigger than that. I don’t think I would’ve liked this nearly as much had I just binge-watched, so I’m glad I was able to keep up with it.

Ratings:

Story: 7.5/10 – Again, not spectacular. I think a lot of the story is within Yotha and Gun’s storyline, but throughout, there are some good moments. But a lot of this is just fluff and giggles.

Acting: 9/10 – Such good performances, especially from Santa, Junior, Book. Everyone else did well too.

Music: 5/10 – Didn’t pay attention to it. Skipped the singing.

Recommendation Value: 8/10 – It’s hard not to want to recommend this. It’s lighthearted, it’s funny, and it’s super cute. Also, there’s a scene where Book squeezes Force’s bare pecs, if that does it for you.

Almost Perfect

Kinnporsche has surprised me in so many aspects. I'm so glad that after 2 years, it's finally out, and of course, it only took me like a week to finish. It had everything going for it and more, I was worried about the production change and the switching of cast members, but it all turned out to be perfect -- well, almost. Kinnporsche is a dark and angsty mafia series, including humor and spice which made this series worthwhile and entertaining.

Let's Dive In.

Kinnporsche is the story of a mafia boss and a bartender who incidentally meet. Kinn hires Porche as his bodyguard and thing take off from there. We also have Pete and Vegas, the mafia's son and the Main family's bodyguard, as well as Kim and Porschay, the son of Korn and brother of Porche, whose stories add to the intensity of the series.

The one thing that pulls this series to be a top-notch watch is the action and the adventure. There's so much plot in this perfectly planned out series that it's impeccable. Everything falls at a steady tempo, and everything is revealed in a perfectly timed manner. I can't believe how much fun I had just on the story alone. The revelations, the impacts, the fighting sequences, the intensity, the anger, the hurt, the formulating of plans and pulling them through -- it was all just absolutely faultless.

Now, moving on to our main duo, Kinn and Porsche, I think I have a hate/love relationship with them. Outside of them being a couple, I enjoyed these two individually. Porsche was humorous and charismatic and a charm, while Kinn was serious and suave and brilliant. In the beginning, I wasn't really feeling the tension between these two. At best, they formed a nice friendly relationship, but I have a hard time understanding how and why Kinn is so quick to fall for Porsche, and him being attractive doesn't count cause so was Ken and Big and Pete and Pol and Arm. But as the story progresses, it gets better. I really started feeling it towards the end. But I do wish their chemistry between one another didn't ratio between platonic and romantic, and only held the latter. I do appreciate that both of the actors are so comfortable with one another during their sex scenes, which have to be one of the most erotic and sensual heat scenes I've ever seen, while also being filmed so intimately and with very steady care. It was so nice to watch a couple on-screen have genuine sex, with the groping and grinding and thrusting and kissing and moaning and even at some points, revealing their climaxes. Big applause for that. I'll give them a 7/10.

Moving on to Pete and Vegas, I'm probably the anomaly here when I say I didn't enjoy these two at all. However, individually, I loved them. I loved Vegas as the villain, who was demeaning and manipulative and scary, practically pulling me in overload at how sexy and evil he was. And the same goes for Pete, who I enjoyed his very quirky and corny side, as well as being serious and endearing. But together, these two don't work for me. And this is a mafia series, so I won't go into how toxic and terrible their relationship is. However, I cannot fathom how and why Pete would fall for someone who physically, emotionally, mentally, and sexually abused him, kidnapped him, and tortured him. There's just nothing that will change my mind on how sickening it is to watch someone that has done so much harm to you in every which way becoming your lover. Yes, they've spent a lot of alone time together, but it still just doesn't make any rational sense. I found the scenes where they were both being vulnerable to one another great, but it still doesn't justify Vegas' actions. By the end, I pretty much just skipped their scenes. Vegas was obviously a man who was hurting and hurting pretty bad, and I think once he gets better, I would enjoy seeing him grow into a better person and then try to pursue Pete. I hope if there is to be a season two, that they focus on the emotions Pete will have afterwards, and maybe even find him another love interest to start a love triangle (Which I was kind of hoping would be Ken, but whatever). I'll give them a 4/10.

Moving onto the couple that made me stay, Kim and Porschay. The minute I wandered onto these two lovely humans, I was so excited. Chay is this bubbly and giddy dude who has this very novice crush on the brooding and stoic Kim. But the series did the two of them so dirty. With very little screen time together, comically rushed chemistry and a terrible ending. This show is all about lust and romance, and they had neither. I found Chay's crush on him to be cute, but it grows a little weary when the "I love you's" come into play. It's all too rushed and too quick. And then their ending is heartbreaking and sad, but still not enough. We don't even get a kiss between these two, and yet they're built up to have so much angst against one another without any leverage to pull from. Their story felt so incomplete that I feel the writers had something in store for Kim and Chay, but because of the change in actors, they had to go the less spicier route. But again, this series is full of exoticness and sex, so having not even a kiss is ridiculous. This still doesn't stop me from loving these two, and even them being my favorite couple out of the three. If they can manage to pull this couple from the ground and turn them into the best watch of season 2, then I'm all for it. I'll give them an 8/10 (High score specifically because of episode 9 when Chay announces to Kim he likes him and he's just so nervous and giddy and shy, followed by the cutest kiss on the cheek and a tentative hand on the waist.)

There were a lot of side characters, but they all play into the story quite well. I couldn't remember everybody's name, like Kinn's close friends, and the same with Porsche's, but I still liked them. Khun was by far the most endearing character out of them all. He is wild and expressional and silly and weird, but he also knew when to be serious and take his flamboyant traits and use them for his own good. Ken was an excellent secret traitor, although, I am sad they killed him off. I loved Big's expressions and I really enjoyed watching him. The rest were decent and did their job good too.

The story of the Main and Minor family is so freaking good that it blows my mind. Where we now leave off is so upsetting cause if a second season is to happen, I fear it might be a while. I can't wait to find out why the mom looks so pathetically unenthusiastic as her children whom she hasn't communicated with in years are hugging her.

Ratings:

Story: 9.5 - As perfect as it could've been. It's so enthralling that if the romance for this series doesn't do it for you then the plot will. I'm only taking off half a star cause I don't like just how many people they killed off. Although I loved Ken, his was understandable, but I feel like some of the others were just unnecessary. Other than that, it was brilliant.

Acting: 8 - Really good! Tong, Apo, Mile, and Bible stand out the most, with the others following close behind. Barcode is good, but I think he could be better. Jeff at times feels a bit too stiff. Some of the scenes that needed those emotions also weren't a hundred percent there. But it doesn't take away from the story, so an 8 feels suffice enough.

Music - 6.5: Didn't really pay much attention to it, but I know I didn't like the theme song. Felt like a completely different mood than the series.

Rewatch Value - 3: I don't really ever rewatch, but I could see myself going back to watch certain parts, maybe like a compilation of all of Kim and Chay's scenes on YT.

I'm nervous about the thought of a season 2, but there's so much more to see with these characters that I'm ready! I recommend this to a mature audience, obviously. There is some serious no-no's that a lot of people can't handle, so I say be mentally okay enough to get threw this (more so Pete and Vegas' story).

Not Too Bad

I had been hearing about this series for quite some time now, so obviously I had to check it out. I know this is a spin-off of TTS2, however, I dropped Tharntype and didn't even bother checking out their second season (A good thing since I heard it was a disaster) So, I was going into this knowing that I've probably missed a crucial part of the story and that *gags* Mame was once again a big contributor to this series. I went in with very few exceptions, ready to see the worst, but truthfully, I was shocked at how consensual, sweet, and healthy both relationships were (not all the way healthy, but not nearly as toxic as Tharn and Type). Don't Say No was a high-heat series with a sorta-overdramatic plotline and a GL couple.

Let's Dive In.

Starting with production, everything was decent and like your typical BL setup. The music was not memorable, yet not annoying, so that's a good thing. We saw a few ad placements here and there, but not anything that were blatant or gave too much filler. I liked how this was a series I could watch and understand without having to have seen TTS2. A plus on the wardrobe would definitely be the gala(?) event that Leo and Leon's mom put on. Lord. The women's dresses were BEAUTIFUL. Huge applauds there. (Also, besides his school outfit, Fiat's fit was kind of fire too).

Onto the plot. I really loved the first episode way more than I usually love first episodes. It was a nice setup, I loved Fiat and Leo's confession, I loved their shyness, and I loved how they were learning to communicate with each other on a more romantic perspective other than friendly. However, what kind of ruined it was the spread of their news plaster throughout the school. I hate yaois, I hated the rumors and the spread of their news everywhere (like the news about their business in the bedroom???) It's invasive, it's annoying, and I hate when they appear in any series cause it ruins my mood more than you could imagine. The plot was going good for a while, I was getting ready for the terrible mistake that Mame would make at literally every turn, and some things were a bit problematic, but not nearly as bad as they have been in the past.

Let's just talk about the supporting cast. I genuinely loved every single person (minus Nam who felt like it was his business to film Fiat and Leo's every movement and post it without their consent) The twins were a nice contribute to the series, they were pretty silly and goofy, but they were there for Leo and Fiat when they needed them. Natsu was adorable, and beside her spreading rumors, I enjoyed her character and her being the coach for the basketball team (although weird(?) since she was a student at the school??) and even more than that, her relationship with Anda. A very subtle GL couple, but hey, we still got one! It wasn't much, but I'm happy where we left it. All the parents did good too, and I'll touch on Fiat's situation in the next paragraph.

Onto the main couple, Leo and Fiat. Like I said, I was really invest in them in the first episode. Even Fiat's raunchy moment in Leo's bed was very nicely done. I loved how they were clumsy, and awkward, and nervous around each other initially. Their communication about sex was even perfect, but all of that was swept under the rug to get in two episodes worth of drama. In the later half of the series, Leo gets caught kissing Punn(?) and it turns into an all out war that didn't need to occur if Leo would told Fiat what happened, or even if Leo would asked what happened. I can't with this. Their communication was the key aspect of their relationship that was going on so strong until writers becme lazy and do whatever they have to without continuing to build up these characters. That was number one. The second thing would have to be what happened in episode 12. Leo and Fiat are forgiving each other and making up, expect that the writer's muct have forgotten all of Fiat's trauma for the past twenty years after they have Leo say something along these lines: "I don't want to see you loving anyone else but me." Um, HELLO?? Why would you say that?? And thenhe presume to saying more possessive stuff, and of course, Fiat has no reaction, like he wasn't having panic attacks over his mom manipulating him into hating everyone beside her. Onto that story, I loved it, I loved it more than anything else with Leo and Fiat. It was handled the best, I liked that they didn't give the mom some quick resolution to a mental illness, and eventually Fiat resolved things with his dad and step-family. Overall, this couple was okay, Their heated scenes were nice, but sometimes their kissing looked weird and off. First's performance was decent, Ja's was okay, but sometimes he was a bit stoic and bland.

Onto the side couple, Leon and Pob. I can't explain to you how much of I loved them, omg. As soon as I saw Pob playing with a cat, I knew it was over for me. They are what really kept me watching this series. Leon was so gentle with Pob that it made me fluster up myself. He was patient and understanding, and consensual, and I love him. Even with they're first kiss, he let's pob know that if he doesn't enjoy what they're doing that he can push him away. God, and their heated scene was done perfectly to the T. This couple couldn't do anything wrong. Until they decided for them not to get together. A betrayal, that's what it is. But even with that, it was still put together well. I think I just love this type of BL couple; the innocent, quiet, introverted, shy, big eyes "bottom" and the silly, goofy, loud, extroverted, ethusatsitc "top". I can't help but love the "opposite attract" dynamic. I think I noticed my love for it first in Fish Upon the Sky with Duean and Meen, but I'm sure there are other's that I've forgotten about. Overall, Smart and James put on some really good performances with some really endearing kisses and a very sweet and soft heat scene.

I won't try and put up a front like I didn't really enjoy my watch. While there were plenty of parts that needed fixing (also the whole King situation and how Fiat didn't even budge when he was told that King drugged him (or maybe even worse, he didn't go to the police??)) But that another mistake I don't fee like getting into. This had to be one of Mame's most tamed series I've ever seen, and I hope she learns that BL can be good and full of heat without the toxic and negative aspects she just aspires to have in these series. Applaud to the cast and crew for a good series.

Another Typical GMMTV series

This series was hard for me to get into only because it had aired right after one of GMMTVs greatest BL series ever, so going from a dramatic and serious tone to this comedic and crazy setting was a bit difficult for some reason. Sadly, this series didn't leave anything impressive for me to remember it months down the road, and it will surely be forgotten about after another handful of series are watched. It was another typical BL series with a boring plot, an even boring-ier setting, and one-dimensional characters plus a stalker.

Let's Dive In.

let's start with production and plot. As for settings and whatnot, nothing new, but, I really did like the OST. The plot was pretty simplistic and something we've seen played out many times before. There is nothing ugly about wearing glasses or braces, but I knew they needed something to drive the plot, so I was willing to look past that. One thing that I really enjoyed about this series was the way they changed the proportions of Duean and Meen's screens when they were on. It felt like I was watching another series but in a good way. I liked also how they had their own title to each episode, and really appreciated how much work was put into their screen time. A big pat on the back for that part. The craze-BL- fans' side plot ruined this series. I literally am begging GMMTV to stop these ridiculous crazy-BL-fans plots in literally every BL they make (TOTS is an exception cause it was a MASTERPIECE). The other side plots were not important and were just like any other series we've seen before. I was hoping there would be this big moral at the end of the series about loving oneself just the way they are, which we sort of got, but not in the way I was hoping for. It was more of, as long as you change the way you look than past you was okay.

Moving onto characters. this is unusual for me to start with the parents, but that's where I'm starting. I was absolutely in love with Pi's parents. They themselves had such a good relationship and I loved how flirty the dad was with the mom. I like how they were both super accepting of Pi's older brother's boyfriend, and the relationship with Pi and his mom. Moving onto Pi, I loved Phuwin's acting in this. He did a fantastic job at playing with the comedic side of this series. I think I liked him best when he did have braces and glasses more than when he was "fixed". Although Pi was a good character, he was still pretty typical and was far from my favorite. Moving of Duean, Neo's acting in this is 1000x times better than in Tonhon Chonlatee. Neo played this character almost perfectly. His actions, the tone of his voice, his emotions. I'm very proud of how much he has improved. Duean was one of my favorite characters. He was a little mean and hot-headed at times, but I just loved the choices that Neo made with this character, and how soft he was around Meen. Onto Meen, by far my favorite character. He was so pure and lighthearted that it was hard for me not to like him. This was my first time seeing Louis and I am a huge fan. The emotions of Meen, the actions of Meen, and literally anything else were so precious that I was just too excited for him and Duean. I loved his little water bottle around his neck and the way he held his bag when he walked, urgh, literally just everything. Moving on the Kitty gang I believe they're called, nothing spectacular or anything, but I got to see one of the twins, so I'm pleased with what we got there. Bam was an excellent friend in the beginning until she just wasn't by the end. I wish they wouldn't have had her sabotage Pi and Mork's relationship and just had her really be a supportive friend. Mueang Nan was amazing, but I might but a little bias just because I love Mix so much. We didn't get to see much of him after the first few episodes, but what we did get was really good. All in all, these characters didn't have much of a personality outside of being someone's love interest or a side plot. I would've loved to see them being anything else other than what they were.

Moving onto Mork who gets his own paragraph because he was the worst person ever. I see everyone praising Mork and thinking that he was the best boyfriend ever and how they wanted someone like him, but if this were real life, I promise you that Mork would've been sent a restraining order. There was nothing good about Mork at all. Sure he liked Pi and he was a decent boyfriend, but the excessive stalking made me completely lose any love that I had for this couple. For example, Pi minding his business in the cafe just casually drinking his coffee until he spills it and then leaves for two seconds just to go clean up, which was perfect enough time for Mr. creeper to swoop in and buy him another coffee. How did he know he was there? How come Mork would just randomly be wherever Pi was? This turned me off for real. And it didn't help at all that Pond's acting was stiff as a board. Being pretty can only get you so far. He had one factual expression and that was it. I would give him the benefit of the doubt because he's a rookie actor, but Mix is just as new as he is and Mix is fantastic. Besides Mork being a stalker, he was still not the overall perfect boyfriend that everyone was praising him for being.

Since the beginning, I wanted Nan and Pi together, and that just never changed. I really could care less for Pi and Mork. Their entire relationship was just boring and I felt no chemistry between them. The fact that their entire relationship was being broadcasted everywhere for these crazy obsessive fans was also a huge factor in my dislike for them. Nan just seemed like the better choice for Pi in my opinion, and I was kind of hoping those series would surprise us and have them end up together, but nope, no hope there. Meen and Duean were the cutest. They didn't end up together until the very end, but I still loved their dynamic. I loved Duean and how caring he was for Meen, and I liked how Meen cared for him too. I don't know why they made him out to be this super annoying person in episode one, cause after that, we don't see him act like that again.

Some other nit-picky stuff. All the kisses between the couples were super stiff and cringey. If there is to be a season two, then I hope these actors learn how to kiss or they'll be in trouble. The long stares hurt my soul so much, it added such awkwardness into the atmosphere that was super hard to get rid of.

Overall, this series will probably end up being forgotten about. I would recommend this to a person trying to get into BL, cause at the end of the day, it was still super lighthearted and an easy watch.

Great Story

I really enjoyed this! A very nice, very laid-back BL you can finish in less than a day that has mild stakes and some very handsome leads. Although I Love You, And You was a great little BL gem of 2024.

Let's Dive In.

A love at first sight trope? Oh I'm seated. Obsessed with Soga, the adorable little working man who recently got divorced but is still so happy go lucky. He meets Sakae whose very outgoing and energetic, and wallah, you have a previous little couple. The stakes aren't very high, and this seriously is just a very precious, very short BL love story.

The chemistry between the leads is good! It works because Sakae is so head-over-heels and Soga is super sweet and just go-with-the-flow who ends up feeling the same way. Their on-screen romance isn't anything crazy, I just think these two actors know how to act and they did it to the best of their ability. Some dead fish kisses, and some fade-to-black NC scenes, but I liked the connotations behind them, so I won't complain too much. Other than that, I think they navigated their relationship in a very clumsy, very awkward, very delicate way -- all in which I absolutely loved.

Couldn't get enough of the close friendship between Sakae and his friend, so enjoyed that they spoke openly to one another and they felt comfortable. All the women in this played such great people instead of being jealous and conniving. The ex-boyfriend was a bit of a hinderance, and the only real argument I have is that I wish Sakae would've really but his foot down with him and actually kick him out instead of being stand-off, and especially letting him speak over him when it came to Soga trying to confess. The side characters didn't have much of their own story besides moving the main plot along, which isn't bad since this series is only 10 episodes around 23 minutes long.

Ratings:

Story: 8/10 - very simple, yet very catchy. You won't get bored with the story, it's engaging since the leads are always together, and their build-up is so good. Some parts or eh, but most of it is good.

Acting: 9/10 - Jun did an incredible job as the soft-spoken Soga. Kan is so young, but he did really well as playing the lead. Every one else did good.

Music: 6/10: didn't pay much attention to it, but it wasn't distracting.

Recommendation Value: 7/10: Super easy watch, super quick watch, and it's a nice happily ever after. Not super plot heavy and the characters aren't very complex but if you're looking for a nice little love story, then you can find it here.

Yeah...

It was good! Not great, not bad, but good. I think it's extremely telling of what can and will occur, and also, the men are beautiful, so there's a plus. Thamepo is what you expect it to be, which I'm not mad at, but I definitely wanted something more.

Let's Dive In.

Again, this wasn't bad. Just not as "oh my gosh the best BL of 2025" like most people had hyped it up to be (which is usually always the cases for me in these situations). William and Est make it extremely easy to watch because; well, you see them, they're gorgeous. On top of that, you have a great looking supporting cast, and you have yourself a girl seated and ready to watch.

But this suffered from boredom very quickly. Outside of the leads' story, everything was pretty slow. Getting the band back together, trying to make their way back to the top, yada, yada. I'm not an idol-series lover, so this could be solely just a me thing, but I basically skipped anything that had zero to do with the leads. However, I do like the friendship dynamic the group had, like when trying to help Thame with his date with Po and just some other smaller moments.

Oh look, the main conflict is that they can't date because of Thame's idol life, def didn't see it coming. This type of trope/conflict bores the hell out of me cause we all know it's going to be fine in the end, which is so unrealistic to the actual idol world. Which is why I tend to skim through all of this, and oh look, happily ever after.

Now, when we talk about the leads, this is where the story really catches my attention. At first, they're a little stale, but the further along we get in the story, I'm hooked. They do slow-burn so fucking well, and I was sat until the end. Est puppy dog eyes mixed with William's soft-ass voice, *chef's kiss*. But even still, while I loved their story, there was something just slightly missing that I cannot, for the life of me, put my tongue on, but there was something that drew me in, but didn't hold me for long. I think I'd like them to tackle a more complex, more tragic type of plot line cause I feel like it would fit them well.

Nothing to nit-pick this time. I really enjoyed how mellow everything was, I loved seeing Drake, and Nut is my new favorite person.

Ratings:

Story: 6/10 - The leads do well, but the overall story is slow and tedious to sit through. Also, everyone is fine as fuck.

Acting: 8.5/10 - Est's eyes are their own person, my god, the way I want to reach through the screen and give him a hug. Everyone did fine.

Music: 7.5/10 - Skipped all the singing and dancing (I know, I'm a terrible person). So I didn't listen to anything.

Recommendation Value: 6/10 - I feel like I would recommend this to someone who wants to start getting into BL cause it's lighthearted enough to get your feet wet, but you know there's better out there.

MSP 2.0

This series tried so hard to be MSP 2.0 that it didn't feel like an adaptation at all. Instead, it felt like they were using every tactic possible that worked in MSP (My School President) and decided to give this a different title but it's still basically the same series. In my eyes, My Love Mix Up the Thai version was not taken seriously as a new adaption of the Japanese manga/series like it should've been.

Let's Dive In.

Had I been discussing the first 8 episodes of this series, I would've told you it was an amazing, jaw-dropping, brilliant series. Except, they went on for 4 more episodes and it completely plummeted on its face after that. What could've been a really neat and tidy 8 episode series was stretched to fill that usual GMMTV 12-ep series, but in reality, it should've just stayed 8 episodes. Once they get together, it's nothing but weird added-on tension, some stuff from the side couple, and a couple of kisses. That's it. I hated when I could tell that I was falling out of love with this series, but once episode 9 hit, I was done. I heavily debated dropping this, but the only thing that kept me going was Half and Mudmee.

Let's actually talk about those two for a second. I LOVED Half and Mudmee, so much so to the point where I could give two flying fucks about Atom and Kong. Half and Mudmee stole the show for me, I loved them to pieces, they were just so first-love-coded and I adored their dynamic. The only time they start to decline for me is closer to the end when we get a fake kiss from them. Oh gosh, why why why? It will never not draw me out of a series when you can obviously tell they're fake kissing. Why not just... kiss? Pahn (Mudmee) did an incredible job in her role, Chokun (Half) was pretty mediocre and a times just downright bad, but it's not so bad to where you can't watch, sometimes it's just a bit cringe.

Moving onto Atom and Kong, again LOVED them in the beginning, not so much a fan of them by the end. They were the slow burn that I yearned for, but the series dragged their story for far too long. After a certain point, I just don't care anymore. Kong's birthday, them going to visit college, etc, all of it, for some reason, was such a snooze-fest for me. I just needed to see them be happy and in love. The end. and then on top of that, they exude so much of Gun and Tin from MSP that it's hard to differentiate their characters from there and here. I think it's good at the beginning, but the more you watch, the more their personalities are similar. Maybe not Gemini's characters so much, but Fourth felt like he was playing the same person. I think getting them out of high school roles will help better push them away from those similarities, but it's hard not to see them. Also, let's discuss those kissing scenes, because they were actually horrendous, all of them. We've seen them do a great job in MSP, so I'm not sure why it was so stale and dead-fish like here. I'm going to assume it has something to do with the director, but holy hell, those were hard to sit through. And then on top of that, their chemistry was just not chemistry-ing like it usually does. Maybe there were too many long stares, or some weird aspect that made it feel kinda awkward, but something didn't click here. Overall, I wasn't as satisfied with these two as I'd like to be, but oh well?

Moving onto production, this was caked and marinated in product placements, so much so that it starts not even feeling like a genuine series, which is why this adaptation doesn't feel like an adaption at all. Same with the MSP band coming to play, same with Atom and Kong busting out in song. This series is too much garnered towards G4 than the actual series itself that it just feels like they played in our faces. I'm so disappointed with the series as a whole, and from now on, if GMMTV is going to adapt something, they need to stray away from making it feel so advertisement-heavy and more so for the actual storytelling.

Ratings:

Story: 6/10 - It's so good in the beginning and then it falls straight on its face. Quite literally you can stop watching at episode 8 and get the gist of the story. After that, they start playing in our faces.

Acting: 8.5/10 - I think both Gemini and Fourth did as best as they could with the direction and script they were given. Pahn did a good job and so did Chokun, although he was for sure their weakest link.

Music: 5/10 - them busting out in song took me away from the story cause they're no fucking singing in the manga/series (correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure there's not).

Recommendation Value: 7/10 - at the end of the day, this series is pretty light-hearted and fluffy, so I'd definitely recommend in the, "take your brain to ease-town" way. Also, if you're a fan of G4 then of course, this is for you.

It Was a Cherry Magical Series

We finally got TayNew back onto our screens and I couldn't be more happy. My gosh, I completely forgot how amazing both of them look -- individually and together, and man, my my my, aren't they beautiful. Anyways, onto the Thai remake of the Japan series, "Cherry Magic", that has blessed our screens with these two. I'll say, when I first heard that this was getting a remake with Tay and New I was a bit skeptical on how this was going to go, plot-wise and acting-wise. I think I agree with others when they say this series is not an entire remake of the original. Instead, it's its own series with a lot of the plot changed, some things added, and just the overall Thai BL touch that GMMTV knows how to do well.

Let's Dive In.

The few first episodes were the best out of the entire series. The building of the characters and the setup of the overall plot was golden. I was sitting on the edge of my seat throughout it all, feeling so intrigued with Achi listening to Karan's thoughts, the connection between Achi and Jinta, the office relationship, and the overall pleasantness of the series. I'm glad they kept the iconic elevator scene and they executed it perfectly.

Now onto the rest of the series, the episodes where Achi had to leave to work in another part of Thailand, were where the episodes get a little draggy. Personally, if you take out Achi leaving and some other junk this series could've ended in 10 episodes. I hate when the last 2 episodes feel irrelevant to the actual plot, which this teetered very near that line. I got bored, and I skipped through a bunch of the filler to get to the parts that I wanted. But nevertheless, it was all still good, just blah.

Moving onto the Achi and Karan's relationship -- I think they were so stinking cute. I think the first bit of their relationship was obviously established through Achi reading all of Karan's thoughts and feelings, which led him to feel the same way. Tay and New have had years of connections and so their already close relationship helped build the chemistry between Achi and Karan perfectly. When the series was announced, the joke running around was that Tay and New took this role so they wouldn't have to kiss (lol), but they shut that down immediately with some amazing kiss scenes, and even a very mid-heat NC scene, but still it was done to show that Achi was about to lose his powers, and even I was expecting that. My only real argument about this couple is that Karan's character is not as developed as I would've liked him to be. He was a walking green flag, which isn't a problem, but his flaw was not having a flaw. You could argue that that's an actual flaw itself, but it's never pointed out in the series that he's too nice, too forgiving, too perfect. He was such a one-dimensional character, there to be sweet and his whole personality was to make Achi's life better. I would've loved some more character depth from him. For Achi, it was more that he wasn't taking accountability for a lot of what they had going on in terms of their relationship and let Karan always take the blame. Besides like one time he apologized, Karan was there to forgive first. I also kind of hate that Karan didn't feel some type of betrayal when finding out Achi was intruding into his thoughts, even if he wasn't trying to. I would've liked a conversation behind Karan wondering if Achi really liked him or was only doing so because he could hear his thoughts. But besides some of those small points, they were really cute, and TayNew did a good job.

Moving onto Jinta and Min -- the most disappointing part of this entire series. Junior (Jinta) was by far my favorite actor/character. He took this quirky role and made it work perfectly in this remake. His conversations with Achi, his reactions to MIn, his way of analyzing and thinking and reacting -- all of it was legit perfect. It was also so nice to see Mark (min) again since Sky in Your Heart. He did an incredible job in this -- showing how versatile his acting is compared to his character in SIYH. Their setup was nearly perfect, and their continued build-up was so good that I was rooting for them more than I was for Achi and Karan at one point. Then Jinta confesses, and it's magical. After that, they have a couple of cute moments, but my problem is that Jinta never loses his powers, which isn't entirely terrible, but the premise of this series is that their virgins with superpowers that no longer will have them by the end. It's upsetting, but I guess it's an oh-well situation. I would've still loved to see them connect and watch how their first time would've gone down which is why the end result of this couple is such a letdown, but nevertheless, I really liked them.

Another addition to this series was Rock and Pai who I actually really liked. I liked that Pai was assertive and more of the leader in their relationship while Rock was bubbly and just happy to be around her. Loved the way Rock treated her and flirted with her. Again, happy they became a couple, but a kiss would've been nice too.

Now, onto some nit-picky things: I wish they would've had the moments when Achi was touching someone for it to be slow-down because their touching for a long period of time when Achi read their minds felt so awkward. While I liked the Rock and Pai addition to this series, they still felt irrelevant to the entire series and didn't really help drive along the original plot. They were obviously added so this series could run for an entire 12 episodes, but that time could've been used for Jinta and Min to build more, or even Achi and Karan.

Ratings:

Story: 8.5/10 - Really nice. Felt like its own series and did not follow the same format entirely as the Japanese one. some stuff felt draggy, but overall, this was really nice.

Acting: 9/10 - Great! Junior was the best in terms of taking his character to the next level. TayNew were a close second. Everyone else did well too.

Music: 6/10: I didn't pay much attention to it at all.

Recommendation Value: 8/10: This was really nice! I would recommend it to anyone wanting to see TayNew again on their screens, and if they enjoyed the Japanese one. I feel like I liked the Japanese one still a lot more, but this was good too!

This is Easily Forgetable

I won't spend too much time talking about this one since I feel like it was more just on while I was doing other things, and not 100% watching with a clear focus. Oh Boarding House started off very rocky. I was so tempted to just drop this one and move on, but the literal saving grace was the beauty of the actors. Eventually, I got into it a bit more, but not enough where I think this will be memorable in the next few months (hell, the next few days), let alone, a year from now. With so many K-BLs being produced and now getting the hype that it so well deserved, there's no more room for filler K-BLs, which is the best way I can explain what this series was.

Let's Dive In.

Oh! Boarding House is a K-BL about a son who has to become the new landlord of his mother's boarding house for college students after she goes on a long-term vacation. There's nothing more to the story than that, They're just a bunch of tenants that get into some trouble and all have their own stories to tell. As I stated before, the first episode was super rocky. I usually don't enjoy the first episodes, but this one was just bad. If the actor's looks don't do it for you, then there's no point in watching. like, at all. It was a neat concept and something not done before but for the most part, it was super cliche and extremely predictable. I didn't read the manhwa, so I have no clue how true to the origin they stayed, but in my opinion, with some of the plots shown, they could've done without adapting this into live-action.

What I didn't like to end with some positives: Again, I've read some Manhwa that just need to stay manhwas for the reason being they can be highly problematic and have some very toxic characters, but it's fine for the reason being that it is a fictional story. This too, but it's unenjoyable to watch when you see these characters doing just the craziest things ever that would catch their asses in jail or with restraining orders in real life. Seol Won's actions in the beginning were just creepy and over-intruding. But the series never goes over how wrong what he was doing was, or for the fact that Cheol Soo still falls for him, even with his disturbing actions. There's also just no character development whatsoever. Everyone is still their pitiful selves from the beginning to the end. With no character development, what are we left with? Sure, their run time wasn't long at all, but I've seen shorter ones do better. The plot itself isn't very entertaining, and again, the actors are the saving grace for literally everything in this BL.

Most of the main characters aren't very likable. Seol Won does too much at the beginning and just some real left-field things. Cheol Soo isn't the best, but his looks make up for that, Seol Won's cousin is aggravating, the other tenant that wants everyone to be quiet and yells with every opportunity he gets is worrisome. The only seemingly likable character were the dude who had feelings for Seol Won and Hee Soo.

The secondary couple could've been fun if they weren't left on a cliffhanger. The main pairing don't do very much. Their chemistry is pleating, and, as I continuously repeat, their looks make up for their lack of connection, Their kisses were at least on-point.

There's a part where the grape juice guy is sitting on the toilet and you can see the reflection of the crew on the toilet paper holder. I hate seeing mistakes like this. It's not me saying it's unprofessional, but it does hurt to see something that could've been taken out to save them from such a silly mistake in post-production. Me being nit-picky, but whatever.

What I liked: I love the dude that couldn't eat spicy food (I have already forgotten most of their names). Of course, he was treated like garbage, and just eventually gets over it, but he was cute, and genuinely had the biggest crush on Seol Won. he even made cakes, while not very appealing, he at least tried. I'll miss him for sure.

There's not much I can say I just loved about this series, but it was a cute little watch, it lasted me a few hours and I got to see handsome men, so I'm not too salty.

Ratings:

Story: 5 - 3 stars for just being able to watch these beautiful men prance around and sometimes be shirtless. Other than that, there was nothing fun about the plot, where I was getting confused half the time. I'll give one star to the secondary couple that I appreciated until I didn't and another star cause I just feel bad for giving it a 4.

Acting: 8.5 - Decent. I think they did the best they could with a weak script. They all definitely have potential. I wouldn't mind seeing them again at all.

Music: 3 - Didn't pay attention to it at all. Oops.

Rewatch Value: 1 - I'd give it less than zero if I could.

We are getting a mass production of K-BLs where there isn't any space for these ones that leave no honorable impressions. It's not even good enough for me to remember all the characters' names. I don't recommend this unless you want to watch some pretty men, which is the only satisfaction I received.

WTF

So, technically, I saw this probably about two months or so ago, so my knowledge is a little shaky. This was my very first Chinese BL, which from the looks of the Chinese government, will be my last. (lol). I remember it being about these two dudes that go from hater to lovers, and then they realized that they’re stepbrothers. Initially, I gave this series a 9/10, but after going back and watching it wasn’t all that good, and highly problematic. Gu Hai literally kidnaps Bai Luo Yin and then states how much he’s in love with the dude. Ummm, no? Don’t do that? Then when Bai tells Gu Hai that he might have an STD (or HIV/AIDS, I really can’t remember) He just like, “whatever, it’s fine I’ll have it too cause I love you” Ummm, yeah, still no! Then of course the whole rape thing happens and it’s just super upsetting. Even when we see the after moments, Gu Hai is just beaming and the other dude looks uncomfortable.

Along with all that chaotic mess, they’re going to be stepbrothers. Again with the incest, we gotta love it! (that was sarcasm, please don’t support incest). The only reason I can remember liking this was because of Yang Meng. He was so lovely and such a supportive friend, and I wish we would’ve gotten to see more of him and his (i think) love interest. I think I liked the main couple a lot better in the first few episodes when they would do stuff to annoy each other. Like cutting up their jackets (can we just talk about the fact that they have to wear tracksuits to school?), and sewing the sleeves together, that was cute. Anything else with this series was a fail, I wouldn't recommend this series at all.

Not Interested

This is one of those series where you have to be interested in the concept of student/teacher, and that, I am not. I can't really get behind people with jobs, and lives, and most likely a family that goes and somewhat ruins it all for a student. Not that these two ruined it or anything, but it just felt wrong the entire time.

Let's Dive In

I really like the two main leads, just in general. I loved how caring Shi Yi Jie is to his daughter, and I liked the charm that Fei Sheng Zhe had. I don't usually enjoy the first episode of a new series, but I was really impressed with this one. I liked how it drew us in, and we got to see their lives, and how it's been for them. I did really like how close Fei Sheng Zhe got to Yo-Yo, and how easy it was for them to build a healthy relationship. By far, the best scene was them at the park. Even though I don't enjoy the relationship that builds between the leads, I did like that Shi Ye Jie was willing to wait for Fei Sheng Zhe when it came to sex. There was consent, and that is truly all I ask for in BL.

A Nice Binge-Worthy Series

This series continuously kept me entertained. I found myself so excited to continue watching this series each episode that came. Even though it wasn't the best story plot-wise, it was still fun to watch.

The relationships in this series were a little strange. Fuse and Tee were a complicated pair, I wanted to love them, but there were just so many different aspects of the pair that I hated. For one, Fuse treated Tee like trash. he wouldn't break up with his girlfriend to save his life. In the end, it ruined how I felt about them because Fuse always felt fake to Tee. I don't know how to feel about the drunken hook-up. While it was somewhat consensual, Fuse was still drunk, and it was just uncomfortable. As much as I love Ohm, his character was NOT it this series. *Sighes*, another case of romanticizing r*pe. Yes, Book and Frame have been texting back in forth about having sex and positions and all that, but when it finally came down to it, Book wasn't interested anymore, which is so completely valid! The actions Frame makes are disgusting, but what made me even more upset was the fact that the next day, they completely wiped out the part of Book not have wanted to have sex. If Book changed his mind about wanting to do it, then they should’ve shown that instead of pretending it didn’t exist. What would have been even better is if they would’ve just had Book and Frame talk it out, and then maybe that heat of the moment comes up again and they both consent-fully do it. The way they approached the aftermath was even worse and volatile. I can't get behind this couple at all.

What was the point of Rodtang's character? Was he here to add even more confusion to the plot? Cause that's all he was helpful for. The writers must've had mixed decisions on what to do with him because he starts out liking Fuse, and then turns around and starts liking Nine, but his character was inconsistently shown and had temperamental screen time. I also didn't love Beam's (rodtang) acting all that much, it felt very stiff in a lot of parts, and it felt like he didn't understand his character at all.

Right off the bat, I'm in love with Lukmo. He was hilarious, and he made this series such a joy to watch. I really fell for Yok's character. He was openly gay, and we got to see his situation with his mom and his home life. He finally thought he had found love only to be let down. I liked that this series didn't make the feminine gay a joke, and instead gave him a fully fleshed-out story.

It's strange how censored this show is. This was one of the earlier BLs, so maybe two guys kissing on screen wasn't the norm back then, but what makes it weird is how explicit this show was on sex and porn. This has to be one of the dirtiest shows I have seen so far, but all the kisses were censored or left to look like they happened. I'd rather a couple just never kiss than fake a kiss. It's always just so noticeable that they didn't kiss and makes it so awkward, at least for me. This series was overall a good watch. I didn't love some of the production choices made and some of the acting wasn't all too great either, but overall, it was a fun watch.
