i made it until the 5th episode and lemme tell you she doesn't get better (actually she gets worse) so i don't really recommend that you continue watching

i was waiting for this to finish but i can't even get through the first episode lmao i can't stand the female lead

i really tried to give this drama a chance because i think the concept is really cool! but goddamn the female lead ruined everything :/ her character was so annoying! she was whiny and selfish and generally very annoying to watch and kinda hard to empathise with and i just can't do it lmao
so yeah! it possibly (probably) gets better but i just can't be bothered to finish this :)

well I'm no expert but OCN mostly makes thrillers and mystery dramas, while TVN makes mostly romantic dramas (i think?) so maybe the fact that the 2 stations/channels have different vibes might be a turn off for some people (it was for me for example :/) - idk if this makes sense lmao

also the character were so????? stereotypical????? in a way??? like i didn't root for anyone that much cuz they were all very predictable,, like??? a gangster, a gambler with a crazy amount of dumb luck, a very annoying woman, a smartass, a foreigner, a tough girl, the old dude who had sudden moments of very convenient clarity - it was all very predictable
i think the character that i enjoyed the most was the police officer - he got stuff done (to no avail but still)

something about the last episode ruined the drama :/
like dude yeah what you went through was VERY messed up but in the end the old guy was right - everyone played willingly. they chose to play and lost. YOU went through hell and back AND survived AND got the money you so desperately needed. i get that the way people played wasn't the best - people can be cruel when faced with life or deth situations. but dude you got a crapton of money and you could have gotten your daughter back + helped the other dude's mom + the girl's brother but you prefered wasting one year being sad?????????

look, i know it's the dude's first drama but i think people are allowed to criticise his acting. it was dry and it was cringey. i also think that, even though bl is quite a recent thing in the korean drama scene, people (myself included) have standards, and this wasn't it (in my opinion!! don't murder me!!). there have already been some lovely bl dramas last year like wyel or wish you and hopefully we'll get more. just to end this I'll say i hope the dude doesn't take it too seriously i mean people are kinda crappy sometimes BUT he needs to improve,,, like a lot,,,,
