Actually in the novel it was Zhao ling who rescues tingyun. He bought her antidote and saved her. But the director changed it to FL saving herself. It made tingyun more powerful character. She is no damsel in distress waiting for her prince charming and I love her so much. Director made the right call I am loving the drama more than the novel

The acting was peak in those scenes 😍

The novel was solely based on FL pov which made ML appearance lesser and lesser but the drama modified the story a lot, from what I have seen so far the ML and FL will have equal importance and scenes

Tingyun is the smart girl I adore just like in the novel. Zhao ling as a character is more developed here. He became more cunning, humorous and cuter than in the novel. Also, Sen one of my fav characters from the novel and the dynamic between Sen and Zhao ling is so much better. I am waiting to see A'sen to meet his sister-in-law 😍😍

In the novel it was completely trusting type but their characters have some developments in the drama as far I can see. I think drama is better cause Zhao ling is more fun than in the novel

It is complete opposite in the novel. Novel is mostly FL's POV , her journey after meeting ml(more than half tbh I only read 60% of it) I don't know how it in the script
