Thanks for the article. But it is really difficult to read the English title because of the color and the font used. A person who is unfamiliar with lakorns will find it really difficult .A spell check would have been get too. (I am a software tester by profession and it is an occupational hazard)
That said, I am happy that more articles on Thai dramas are coming out. I am bored of seeing mainly articles on K-dramas. Many of the dramas that you have mentioned is not arranged marriage at all between the leads, to my knowledge. The tags may be present for other couples in the drama.
Before I watched this drama I had watched 'Its okay to be not okay' and 'Team Bulldog'. Two of the main characters in this drama was there acting completely different roles. I am in awe of their talent. Great drama.
In spite of all the past/current issues these leads have , they are really lucky in their non-family relationships. Be it the publisher, his assistant, Juri, her mother and best friends are so valuable.
In spite of my policy to watch dramas only after they aired completely, I could not help but jump into this drama. There are lots of grey characters, like He Mingli who wants to take charge of business but whose family disregards daughters, even her mother thinks she should help her younger brother to get the business. While she is an extreme personality, don't we, as women, feel a little sympathy for her?
I was really excited about this drama and but was disappointed when I saw this drama. It was a little boring with little to no romance and no chemistry with the leads. Only saving grace was that it is short.
I do not like the way everyone drinks in kdramas, probaby because it is so much different from my culture. We see daughters and sons coming home drunk and parents never even blink. We see parents asking children to pour them drinks. Very rare to see an kdrama without someone getting drunk. Another thing is their obsession with beauty and its importance.
