Personally, it took me a good few episodes to feel their chemistry, but trust me, it's there and it's very enjoyable.
I didn't even say anything about their chemistry. My main issue is that it feels like GMMTV is doing what they typically do with a lot of their BLs where it starts off solid but loses steam around the 8th or 9th episode (i.e. Kidnap, The Heart Killers. Wandee Goodday, etc.). The pacing of the series just feels a bit off to me.

You don't like the show, you don't like Gawin's acting. Good for you, move on, it's episode 9...after all this…
You don't like my opinion about this series, good for you, move on. You do realize that one opinion isn't necessarily going to stop people who enjoy the series for whatever reason from watching it right? My opinion on the series was a general statement, but based on your little rant, a hit dog will holler I suppose.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... I only got through half of episode 9, and I was ready to drop this series mainly because I felt like the writers are DRAGGING the story just to hit the standard 12-episode quota that typically comes with GMMTV series. However, I MAY finish the episode after reading the comments despite the fact that I still feel as though this series is simply a college BL with a dash of vampires and blood. What annoys me is that I KNOW GMMTV can produce a quality BL with a strong plot, nice pacing, and good acting since they recently did it with "ThamePo Heart That Skips A Beat". Also, in my opinion, Gawin's acting was significantly better in "Dark Blue Kiss" than it is in this series. I honestly feel like people are gassing this series up because they think Joss is attractive. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I knew something was up when I saw Sigma roll up to the funeral of Akin's grandmother (which I think we can all agree was extremely disrespectful and almost felt like some sort of intimidation tactic). I've yet to watch the anime, so I don't know how this series will wrap up, but I wouldn't be surprised if Jin threatened to leave Sigma in an attempt to force their hand and relinquish the rights to Akin's grandmother's work. Also, I'm not too familiar with Thai culture and media, but the fact that the news outlets were outside of the service bombarding Akin with questions WHILE he's clearly grieving the loss of his grandmother didn't really sit right with me. Akin just can't seem to catch a break. Trauma just seems to hit him from all angles, and he deserves to experience and enjoy happiness.

I'm patiently waiting for Sun's revenge plot to come to fruition, because I just know it's going to be satisfying to watch. Losing both your father AND your best friend (who WOULD'VE been his boyfriend had he not been killed) on (what I think was) your birthday would be more than enough to initiate the supervillain arc of anyone. As someone whose first language isn't English, I'm willing to overlook the slight robotic/monotone English dialogue since English is most likely not the actors' first language. The fact that this series doesn't at least an 8/10 rating is a bit strange. Although it's only been two episodes, this series has had a better start than the majority of BLs that have come out this year so far. Hopefully the series stays strong.

I've yet to watch the anime (so I don't know what'll happen next), but I hope that Akin can finally trust Jin when he told him he'd protect him. Initially, it did irritate me a bit to see Akin attempt to handle the leaked photo situation on his own, but I took into consideration that since Akin had been in the industry for a long time, he may have been placed in situations where he HAD to handle it on his own; which in turn may have conditioned him to attempt to handle situations on his own. Jin is most likely the only person outside of his grandmother that Akin feels genuinely cares about him, and his actions in this episode (episode 9) were coming from a selfless place with the intention of protecting Jin to what he thought was the best of his abilities. Smart and Boom's chemistry is insane.

*SIDE NOTE*

Something that didn't really sit well with me is the fact that it looked like Jade threatened to r*pe Akin. After being assaulted by Johnny (who still needs his ass beat btw) and being made to believe that he was r*ped by Johnny, what Jade did could've been more than enough to screw with Akin mentally. The fact that Akin was telling Jade to do it as if it was something he deserved was sad to watch.

First of all, Sun's dad is f*cking GORGEOUS!!!!! I really wish he didn't get killed in the first episode (because having him on screen as much as possible is definitely a plus), but I know that it's essentially a part of the plot for the series. Now that I got that out of the way, the first episode was interesting enough to keep me wondering what's going to happen next. The English dialogue was interesting to say the least. If it was a dub, it could've sounded a bit less robotic; but if the actors were actually speaking, I'd be able to forgive it since English is most likely not their first language.

Although this series got slightly better toward the second half (in my opinion, episode 8 to be specific), I can't in good conscience rate this higher than a 7.5/10. After the conclusion of "Unknown" and "See Your Love," it seems like Taiwanese BLs have been down BAD (I've heard good things about "The On1y One," but I've yet to watch it, so I can't speak on it). This series was better than "Eternal Butler," but respectfully, if that's where the bar is for Taiwanese BLs in 2025, then the bar is in hell. Parker is a significantly better actor than this series shows. Hopefully the next project he's apart of has a stronger script and plot.

While I've been enjoying the series more since episode 8, I can't help but notice the similarities to this and Parker's other series "You Are Mine" (specifically in this episode where like in "You Are Mine," his boyfriend is kidnapped, and he has to track him down and rescue him). I feel as though the episodes prior to episode 8 should've been JUST as strong as the more recent episodes, because the majority of the episodes prior to episode 8 felt like filler episodes in my opinion. I enjoy the chemistry of the secondary couple, and I'm glad the writers didn't make the "fiancé" the stereotypical jealous female character after learning that Tu Jing He had feelings for Zang Yi Qing. One thing that annoys me a bit is the fact that the inclusion of Ian feels forced. I feel like there could've been a way to write the character to make his inclusion feel a bit more organic and meaningful. All things considered, I'm actually surprised that this series got slightly better as it progressed despite the fact that it took eight episodes.

It's evident that Akin doesn't have anyone who TRULY looks out for him; because there was no reason for them to leave him with some random guy that they barely know and trust that said guy won't harm him in any way. Johnny needs to be stomped into the ground whether or not it was a full-blown r*pe (because both r*pe AND s*xual assault are nonconsensual violations). Since Akin is seemingly under the impression that he was r*ped, he's doing "mental gymnastics" in an attempt to mitigate and compartmentalize the severity of what he believes happened to him. Male r*pe is one of the LEAST reported crimes, so it's understandable that Akin is trying to grasp at any semblance of "normalcy." Had Jin been a bit more patient with Akin (especially knowing firsthand that Akin blacks out when he's drunk), Akin may have actually felt comfortable enough to tell Jin what happened (I haven't read the novel, but I've read a few comments that suggests Johnny staged the r*pe to play mind games, which is still deplorable if that's the case). Akin needs a GENUINE safe space, because the people who left him blackout drunk with a random guy aren't it.

I'm just going to say this; I feel bad for Tonkla. No one even thought that he may need to be protected from Nakan.

I don't really have much to say about this particular episode, but I do have a few questions. Was Mark originally human, and transformed into a vampire as a means to circumvent his illness, or has he always been a vampire? Also, am I the only one who thinks that Gawin looks like a cross between an older Barcode and Yu Xi Gu from "HIStory 3: Make Our Days Count"? I mean, physically he looks like an older Barcode, but his mannerisms in this series remind me of Yu Xi Gu.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Although it DOES feel like the series as a whole is getting a bit stronger as it progresses, it's still not strong enough to warrant THIS slow of a burn. The sad this is that Parker is an amazing actor, but the scripts for the BLs that I've seen him in are terrible. Also, Ian's role in this series feels a bit forced in my opinion given the fact that Tang Du Zhi and Wang Zhan each have enough trauma preventing them from acting on their feelings for each other. In regard to the side couple that technically isn't a side couple, I feel as though it really shouldn't have taken nine episodes for Tu Jing He to realize his feelings for Zang Yi Qing. Both couples (although the second couple is technically not a couple yet) should be further along in their respective relationships.

While episode 8 was arguably the strongest episode thus far, the overall story isn't strong enough to warrant THIS slow of a burn in my opinion.

Okay, not to be "that guy," but kissing an unconscious person on the lips just feels wrong. Aside from that, episode 2 was relatively enjoyable.

Two episodes in, and Tong is already ridiculously insufferable. Hopefully the overall story gets better as the series progresses.

Genuine question... Is the inclusion of panels typical for the average Asian reality show? Because there was also a panel for the Japanese reality dating series "The Boyfriend." I feel as though the panel takes away from the series as a whole.

there is also the last twilight, which imho till ep 9 it’s the best gmm show
I've yet to watch "Last Twilight," so I can't really speak on it. I've heard mixed reviews about it though (mainly because of the ending).

In my opinion, Anti-Reset was better, but that's not really saying much in comparison. While this isn't necessarily a GREAT BL series, I've definitely seen worse. I'll be generous and give this a 6.5/10 mainly because the second couple felt like more of a couple than the "main couple."
