I don't know, I don't think XZ will come back, his character was not very relevant to the story, at least in the series, I don't know in the novel. If personally, I had to choose one I think I would like to see him in the second season of Joy Of Life where it seems that he can have more relevance and can give everything in his interpretation. IMO of course. xD

The only thing that is known is that Leo Wu will not return but nothing is known about the other actors. They just announced it so we will have to wait.

I just finished the season and I could not be more surprised at the wonder that this cdrama has been discovering with each episode, first I came only to see XZ, then the trailer caught my attention and now I am totally trapped by the story. I have seen few cdramas but of all this is one of the best.

I've seen over 200 dramas and haven't found one as boring as this one. I loved the first two original seasons and here the characters have a completely opposite personality, especially the protagonist. As a standalone series, you may like it, but I don't think most will like it if you've seen the original.
