Ming Ye is not Tantai Jin, they are not blood related and they just look like each other because they are that 'character' in the dream arc. Ming Ye is a righteous character unlike TTJ. Maybe confusing how I explained it, havent read the novel, someone who has read the novel may be able to give a better answer.
