Tbh she was the reason i dropped AOL...i hatedd her character and same again with go go squid.

I'd like to believe it's the script and characters she plays and not necessarily the actress but damn if i watch one more drama where she plays the annoying clueless and sometimes selfish character...it might be a hard sell to get me to not blame the actress.

Lol i gave it longer than the previous commenters...no it does not get better...i really tried to like her but damnn...she was annoying and like the other persons stated i did not find it cute at all...it was just frustrating trying to force myself to like her

Could not for the life of me get pass the love triangle

Really loved this drama. It was so light on the scheming and backstabbing and the brotherhood was really good (especially when compared to other historical dramas and the fight for the throne). The male lead genuinely loved the female lead and his actions supported that until the end...Its not one of those harem dramas where the ML claims to love the FL but sleeps with every 3rd woman he meets..oh and lots of kisses!...Good Watch. Definitely recommend.

Started off really well and then got extremely extremely draggy somewhere around the middle. I found myself disinterested with the second half.

Your typical obsessive female stalker romance where the main lead eventually falls for the female lead. Oh and the same flashbacks are shown 20 times throughout the entire drama.

Put your head on my shoulder, somewhere only we know, I hear you, the best of you in mind, skate into love, Romance of tiger & Rose (historical rom com but so sweet and light) oh and My ID is gangnam beauty (this one is korean)

i'm just gonna go ahead and learn mandarin because this is ridiculous. The number of dramas I'm unable to watch due to lack of subs.

watched this while back and came across it again today and felt the need to leave a review. This is a good drama to watch. It has sad moments that make you tear up but its totally worth it.

All the characters in this drama are a mess from start to mother freaking finish lol. I couldn't help thinking every episode that all her problems would be solved if she would just quit her job.

And in the second half where they retold the entire story but from his perspective....soooo unnecessary.

The beginning of this drama is like the 14th episode of a Kdrama.lmaoo...somebody said it takes 12 epsiodes in a Kdrama just to get a hug and in the first episode of this you're already getting hugs and full blown kisses...If you're accustomed to Kdramas and to an extent Cdramas. This will leave you like straight up confused in the first epsiode lol

This is my second time rewatching this drama and when I first watched it my reaction was the same lol (I was not accustomed to the pace in which Jdramas move). I was convinced there was a catch but no...that's just Jdramas...fast paced and heavy on the kisses and implied sex scenes. Love it! . The drama is mostly light but sort of R rated with sexual tension and innuendos... I'd still recommend if you just want to see some sexy romance.

I absolutely adore Zhao Lu. Every drama I've seen her in so far has made me laugh so much. I've never watched a drama with her where I hated the character she played.

Would definitely recommend. Funny and Light.

No..no cliffhangers

I did like this drama especially in the initial episodes when we see Wei Young being badass with her smartness but after a while in the later episodes, it really begins to drag. Its like one tragedy after a next befalls her with no purpose. Yes, she's still smart but it never benefits her in the later episodes. It's ridiculous. And the male lead...one word...WEAK!...

Would definitely recommend. It's different and amazing. Be prepared to shed some tears though.

I really tried to like it but damn The FL was a dummy from start to finish. And it was so Kdrama cliche. All the possible troupes i despise in Korean dramas are in this one especially in the final episode (if you're used to Korean drama you'll know right away which troupe it is).

I haven't skipped through a drama this much in awhile.

Don't do it if you have a weak heart...its a tough watch. Whereas Yanxi's Palace is light Ruyi is the exact opposite. I could probably count on one hand the moments I genuinely felt happy watching this. Howeverrr its still a good drama just dont go in expecting roses and sunshine.

I absolutely loved Dong Yi and how she utilized her smarts but her naivety and blind trust in everyone frustrated me to no end at times. I found myself thinking so many times that if this were any other Historical Asian drama she would have died like 15 times already. She's definitely smart but not manipulative (in a good way) or cunning like the leads from out historical asian dramas. Her smarts is more the in your face general kind of smarts.

Would still recommend though.
