This BL has an happy ending but the major character that got the shaft is Guan Ri Qing and Xia Ze Fang, he lost his protenial happiness due to a freak accident. The viewer will never know if Xia Ze Fang would have made Guan Ri Qing happy. That be said, I find it really Insensitive in the scene where Hai Yuan kissed Xia Cha in front of Ri Qing when he realized that the soul of Xia Ze was never coming back.

I would have thought that Zhang Ping would have given Lan Jue back the money purse Lan Jue father had given to him when he was young. That jester would have been very emotional once their misunderstanding had been resolved.
