has anyone read the novel? can anyone give me some spoilers? are there any misunderstandings? breakups? is fl dumb? 😭

I saw in the comments that the show differs from the novel. How are they different exactly? and does the emperor die? Can someone spoil me? And is their break up long? like 2 episodes or something?

Caught up to the latest episode now. I truly love the plot the only downside would be the lead's chemistry. The acting of the ML for me personally was kind of off. Their chemistry is like that of friends (mostly). The FL is the one that's saving the relationship.

does this have a very happy ending? is there a lot of misunderstanding?

I havent watched korean dramas for a while now (more like 3 years). The last time i watched one was its okay not to be okay and vincenzo then back to chinese dramas. Is it really good?

Hopefully its also faithful to the novel! and let them have a HE!

same here except mine was her perfect husband. Stopped when i heard about the terrible ending :( Wonderland wasn't perfect but at least we got closure in the end and it was a happy ending plus i love the fl knowing how to fight and is smart despite the repititive hot and cold relationship. Wish they would've developed trust w each other. It wasn't perfect but it was decent

REALLY?? thats very good news! im tired of the misunderstandings dumb fl trope. Like i can tolerate the misunderstandings part since most of the dramas have it but to use it repeatedly in a drama kills me. I like some trust between the mcs like in who rules the world where main leads are smart and trust each other. Might be watching this sooner than i thought. Thanks!

Really had high hopes for Xu Kai ever since ive watched Falling into your smile but after that, his dramas (mainly the plots) were kinda bad. His best might be Wonderland of Love. I wish he gets to star in a good plot. I feel sad watching his dramas mostly have ratings of below 8 :( He is a really good actor

Thanks all for the recommendations! Just came back to day that Wonderland of Love caught my attention. It was on my pending list but couldn't bring myself to watch it even tho Xu Kai is one of my fav actor. Its just that recently his dramas were not working for me but for some reason my gut kept telling me to watch WoL so i binged it for almost 2 days hfjsbfxk i cant believe ive put ot off for so long😭Its not perfect with the Ml and Fl being hot and cold (almost repeatedly) but it was really worth it. Im glad that its a realllyyyy HAPPYY ENDINGG😭 Both mcs were smart and badass (only downfall was their communication skills) Im adding this to my top 10 historical/costume/wuxia dramas😭 i rlly cant take open or tragic endings so im really happy that it ended well for them bfksjdks and omg their chemistry 😭im so happy i watched this. Now on to the next one hehe maybe the story of kunning palace, handsome siblings and chef hua then ill come back again🙏

Really loved this! i dont really watch historical/xianxias because they usually have misunderstandings, dumb heroines, and tragedy esp to main characters and etc. The only dramas i appreciated and have seen with this genre: A girl like me, Who rules the world, Maiden Holmes, Love like the galaxy, and ofc legend of shen li😭 I know all of these are not perfect but at least the ending was happy and the heroines are strong, and smart! Can anyone recommend me dramas similar to these? where mcs esp fl are smart?Preferably ones with Happy Endings🥹🙏
