All episodes out !!!... Time to Binge !!!!!! after seeing him as a the villain in Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 ... time to see him as a goofy character ..... π€£π€£π€£
Son Ho Jun ... not a big fan of his .... and certain parts of the show ... he comes off as rude towards the customers .... other than that ... HUGE fan of NA PD's work ....
A lot of fun to watch, especially for those who can keep up with the pace and the amount of information to intake, in my view.
Based on a novel that was inspired by true events, this is a modern take on the world of journalism and the players involved. If that doesn't sound like your cup of tea, don't let it put you off. This particular plot involves manipulation and explores the lengths that people will go to for money, as well as their beliefs. With the clever use-cases of social media marketing for example, I found myself learning a few things while enjoying a solid story.
As a sidenote, the introduction appeared to be mirroring the true events that took place. Now, I don't know anything about what happened and I don't really care either, but it didn't seem to matter for the story. This means that you can safely watch this film without prior knowledge and understand what's going on, but it will likely resonate more with the Korean people or those who are in the know. I will say however, that the title didn't make sense to me, even by the end of it. So, for those like me, here's the definition:
"A troll farm or troll factory is an institutionalised group of internet trolls that seeks to interfere in political opinions and decision-making."
In terms of the production itself, I think that it was very well polished. From the performances to the editing, it seems to me that a great deal of effort was put into this. Perhaps, it's just me, but I found the pacing to be slightly too quick. Maybe it's because this is crime and there's a lot going on, or the fact that reading subtitles that don't fully reflect the dialogue slows me down. More educated viewers might not notice.
Otherwise, the only other criticism is that there were questions left unanswered. Some could argue that the story is supposed to be this way, yet it doesn't give me a fully satisfied feeling.
Recommended for everyone, except those who don't enjoy exploitative themes and fast-paced plots.
really showing the signs of times when this screenwriter normally has epic 20 episode orders ( Vincenzo, TFP S1, Good Manger , Good Doctor ) down to just 12 episode for this season
Really show how everything just so expensive post pandemic... then again its the trend nowadays to just have 12 episodes a season from the norm of 16 to 20 episode of a bygone era ..
Oh well I am still enjoying the nonsensicality of S2 anywaysπππ
Edit : totally forgot KNJ and Sung Joon were together in island part 1 and part 2 ... π
solid 8/10
Pretty solid first 2 episodes !!!!
