I'm only using the app all day, so scrolling down is really hard for me. I mean, I kinda understand the reaction, but people really need to know that picking fights/dragging other drama will never boost TVN's promotions for Lovely Runner.

Even in K-dramas, Kiho literally waited for Mokha for 15 years without knowing that Mokha will come back, and Woojin too (though he never waited for Seori because, from his point of view, she's dead). But man, literally no other girl after 15 years, and the fact that these two are in a non-fantasy genre.
I like the director's call; I think it made the scene sweeter rather than sexier, which I think was appropriate…

I also read on knetz twt that maybe sunjae takes after his dad, who never had any woman in his life after his mother.
Anyway, here's what the director said about why he chose a 15-year gap:
Regarding the decision to set the drama in 2008 instead of its original timeframe, it noted, "Setting the drama six years earlier, as in the original work, did not align with the timeline of the main characters or emphasize significant historical differences. Therefore, we chose 2008, which is 15 years before 2023, to highlight the differences of distinctive eras."

But why is it only a problem now, when Sunjae knows Im Sol is alive and healthy, living somewhere breathing the same air as he is?
and Sunjae is an idol. I mean, not to normalize the parasocial relationship with idols and fans, but it's a win-win situation tho.
