Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I read somewhere when I got curious about the SK enlistment. I remember it says there that there is a law that has passed, allowing you to postpone until the age of 30 if you are an act who has brought pride to South Korea(except for the athletes and musical performers bc they are totally exempted). and there are instances where some men pushing 30 have not yet served bc due to administrative slowness, meaning they haven't been drafted or called to serve. i think this is the case for Na In Woo "While he has yet to get his enlistment notice..."

I don't know what episode you're on, but the drama always mentions it in every episode after the intro. It says, 'Based on the Naver series web novel Marry My Husband by...' and that his character on the webnovel. I mean, if they made him an executioner, then what's the purpose of adapting the web novel in the first place? (And as for the leads' chemistry, well, it took me a few episodes to feel it, and it's okay if you don't like it)
