I was wondering if we share the same interpretation that YQ finally came back? 'Coz I was overthinking it for the reason that FY was just staring at him after waiting for a thousand years as well for his return. I was expecting her to run hurriedly to YQ.
Although I think it is not pursuable coz I think the production team avoided the same scene ending with ALP?
I've skipped to the ep 40. So what does that mean? He's back? There's not even a single dialogue, just pure staring…

Luckily we got a happy ending for both of them😍, although yes, @xue was right to say it is a typical ending for a drama.
I'm happy the drama was light rather than too heavy especially for the young viewers.
Ep 37 and 40 dried my tears up🥲 LOL. It is safe to say my tears were worth it because of the ending where YQ reappeared❤️. I'd like to interpret that as he's finally back based on XY, MQ and FY's convo before jumping to another thousand years. Although FY did not run hurriedly to hug him in the end (I was mostly expecting that LOL) but what came to my mind is that I think the production team avoided the same scene with ALP where SG ran towards BJ after he reappeared.
I did not expect HS redemption as well. And although I will always love that queen aura for FY such as I wanted her to be the Heavenly Empress for life til YQ comes back but I also liked the fact that AG finally ascended back to his rightful throne before the devil god caused trouble. Not to mention that sweet encounter between him and the three life stone🥰.
Additionally, there's also XY who really deserved for his core to finally be re-gathered and that he's back stronger✊.
I hope to see ZLS and WAY in a drama again. I will miss them too much😭

Agreed wt @Kiko Tsukino that you need to watch all for you to better understand the story. If I remember correctly, it's from the eps where GJ lost his affection ties, wc affected his relationship wt AY, that the peacock king starts to get more screentime with his daughter bec that's how their true motive of evilness resonates and be explained in the drama. Most esp from ep 20 up to when AY was unintentionally killed by GJ.
