The childhood trope is no longer merely annoying it has become disheartening and tiresome that it is included in almost everything However, I am sure they will introduce some form of past connection between the leads, if not a childhood connection. You understand what I mean?
Perhaps the male lead's organization killed the female lead's mother, which is why she became a detective. or maybe, the female lead's father might have been part of the male lead's organization.
However, the boxing aspect and amnesia could be engaging if executed well. Considering it is a romantic comedy, humor and angst will likely be derived from the amnesia.
