I honestly didn't think I expected much (just looking for a fantasy cdrama to pass the time) but 13 episodes in,…
Taste is taste. But on my first watch, I skipped a lot. The three main characters were so interesting, especially the lead, that I ended up mostly following his story.
Despite that, the plot still felt clear and easy to follow. The way the flashbacks intertwined with the present was really well executed. They blended in a balanced way, adding just the right amount of character and story depth at the right moments. It made the story feel smoother and let the mystery unfold at a perfect pace. Honestly, considering how complex the story is, the narrative technique was masterful, and that’s coming from someone who skipped a bunch of scenes on the first watch and still caught everything.
From the trailer, this drama looks magical, super fantasy-like, just the way I like it! HMH made it impossible for me to move on from FOF, so I’m hoping this one will help!😍
I suppose, you didn't see constant comments about Rui's favoritism over HMH and CDL from regular users here )
I did! You put together all the info from a link that was posted here a while ago! But you missed the part where he was sick on set, taking medicine, and on wires and on lake shore with a fever!

I want to write a review! But it never comes out the way I want it to so this drama just keeps popping into my mind. And it feels like I won’t be able to forget it until I finally put it into words ;_;

That’s exactly why this section is good. There are plenty of comments here that I strongly dislike, especially those that try to diminish the lead actor, certain actresses, their roles, or even the drama as a whole. I believe the male lead was treated quite unfairly, both on-screen and off. And when people don’t even acknowledge that, it feels like they’re not just dismissing the character, but also undermining the actor’s effort and worth. I wish I could express this on other platforms too, but there’s so much bias, and too many angry fans ready to attack you just for stating the obvious. So even though many of the comments here are frustrating, the fact that this space allows for different perspectives is what makes it better, for you too, in this case, I suppose. Even if it does take a lot of patience sometimes to help keep it that way.
Her screentime is limited, so this is the fastest (or most standard) conclusionthat a superficial viewer might…
I watched it with a blank slate too, as you said, and I really liked her character! Maybe the key to appreciating her is simply seeing her for what she is, not what we want her to be. That kind of expectation can ruin even the best characters.
just tell me how much is the screen time for FL. It's this drama like people say she is here just for censorship…
I saw the movie yin-yang master, and I don't think GJM needed a fake fl to hide the bromance. He’s capable of creating intimate moments between the 2 mls that can still pass censorship, even without a puppet fl. On a separate note, it's true that her character was downplayed, along with the ml himself, in his own drama lol. Poor ZYZ. Still an unforgettable watch!
I'm on episode 13, and aside from the strangeness of the body swap, I'm really enjoying it. I just hope the 2ml doesn't turn into the typical obsessed character. 🤞

He must still carry ZYZ within him.😭
