Reading this gave me all the feels! I totally agree with everything you’ve said. Twelve Letters is such an emotional journey it’s like a love letter wrapped in pain and hope. Haitang’s strength and Yixun’s messy but real presence hit so close to the heart. Their connection feels raw and genuine, and I was right there with them every step of the way. The cinematography is so beautifully nostalgic too. I’ll definitely need those tissues next time! You captured it all so well. This drama really leaves a mark.

Watching Yixun, I couldn’t help but feel like I was watching Gwan Sik in the C version, I love both characters so much😭❤️

I also got kinda pissed thinking about how much better this drama could have been if they showed less fluff romance and focused on the actual ideas and story. I love fluff normally, but when I went into this series, in my mind it was set as the journey of a general, her struggles, her rise, her battles and it just didn’t deliver.

I seriously wish I could sit down with the writer and ask why they made these choices; it felt like they showed what was easy, told the obvious, and completely skipped what could’ve been legendary.

Ahh with this script I have so many ideas coming lol 😅 This series really reminds me how much I miss watching Guardians of the Dafeng, that feeling of a strong, intense journey just isn’t here.

Totally, seeing those old folks stubbornly walk back into that collapsing building… 💔 It was painful to watch. Not out of nostalgia, but out of this deep, misplaced belief that the building was safer. That kind of stubbornness in the face of danger really hit hard. And then there were others doing whatever it took to survive. The contrast really made me reflect on fear, instinct, and how differently people respond when everything's crumbling.

And aww, I can totally see why you rewatch it, it's such a chaotic, emotional ride but also weirdly comforting?? Hits just as hard every time 🔥💔
