Keep in mind those pilot trailers are made exclusively to present the series to sponsors, these are made months before the actual production starts. So, Script changes are very much expected, I don't think the cast change led to any revision.
I feel but bad for Bimbeam, but I'm sure Film will do a good job, I'm sold with her acting since The Debut (really recommended) and I really liked Gun and Film in Not Me.
(I theorize that Film's body in the poster is actually Bimbeam's, and they did that rush edition to not remaking the photoshoot)

About the reasons… We don't know a thing, basically. Overnight, Bimbeam was out of her two upcoming projects, this one and 10 Years Ticket (even after taking part in acting workshops and doing some fittings). Some say she didn't fit the roles any more, others say that due to filming delaying she was too busy bc of studies.
GMMTV (very unprofessionally) didn't even bother to make a statement updating about their own artists (whose work they are supposed to manage) or their drama's actors. The only reason we knew Film will be Gun's female lead was because a day she suddenly started appearing in the set.

About point no.7, I think the rating right now on MDL is fine, around the average rating for a work of director Koo Ekkasit.
Very often, MDL rating and the local reception don't go together, and The Three Gentlebros is an example. The series is doing good numbers in Thailand. Tuesday night, it reached 0.4 for TV Ratings (high for GMMTV shows) and on VIU Thailand, last week it beat The Eclipse and became No.1 on the platform.
