The international audience who watch Thai productions have been growing up by leaps and bounds in the last years, BLs have made a lot and, of course, the pandemic and 2gether supposed a big advance. So big that I don't think they had even seen it coming.
Fortunately, I see the no-BL productions are also getting attention between the internationals. Important producers as Netflix are interested in producing original Thai series for their platforms: the first one was "The Stranded", this year they will release "Let's Fight Ghost " and "Bangkok Breaking" (In this one Aom'll take part!). And the famous "Girl from Nowhere" is important in its catalogue.
On this side, I'm positive about the industry will open more and more to the exterior what means the productions will have more reception and hence more budget. We can already see it in the latest GMMTV's shows, for example this one. Obviously Girl2K was produced with much more estimate than it would have had years ago. For now, what we can do is support them as much as we can ^^

Okay, but the ones that you said aren't GMMTV productions, but lakorns of big channels as Channel 8 and GMM 25. As I said, GMMTV is doing a good job regarding their subtitles, there are captions in the most of their series on YB.
It would be wonderful if other Thai production and broadcast companies decided to do the same, but again, GMMTV is making it well, we shouldn't put them in the same box.
About what you said about Viki, maybe you sometimes saw that a video on GMMTV's channel had subtitles in different languages as Chinese, Spanish or Portuguese (Even some English translations there were made by fans).
They are actually translations that fans made and sent to GMMTV in order to they could be watched in another languages in a legal way. It's cool that GMMTV take the time to have an email for that and uploaded all those fan translations people did. The simplest for them would be not to make nothing as other ones, but it isn't the case.

Come on! You commented literally some of the most old GMMTV's series. In fact, the most of them were made when GMMTV wasn't the TV producer we know nowadays, it was called Bang Channel. It's normal they haven't translated them.
About Cornetto Love Expert, it is true Toey and Mook's episode wasn't translate, but the Chimon-Love and Off-Gun ones yes! So you can't say it is about if there is a hetero couple or not. And well, at the end, those episodes were only advertising...
I know GMMTV isn't the best company, but I don't think we should complain about the subtitles. It may take more or less time, but in the end they put them.
I would dare to say all their problems are related with they are newbies in this field, until a little over a year ago, they used to update the subtitles in a less efficient and fast way than now; maybe what they need is more organization and to hire more translators.
yeah, I'm always waiting for an artist to confirmed it too. GMMTV should consider announcing it since the beginning. I was expecting at least 13 episodes for Wake Up Ladies, everybody indeed did it lol
The next series GMMTV'll broadcast will be Girl2K, and as much as I know, there isn't a confirmed number, right? I suppose it's a long series (around 18ep) because they will release 2ep per week just as WHO ARE YOU, but who knows.
In the case of 46 days, it has been confirmed by artists that there are 18 episodes. So that means they won't be only releasing 10-episode series this year.
