i donβt get why there are so less female characters. in the OG series one of the things that i liked the most…
That caught my attention when I read the novel some time ago. The truth is, most of the girl's school storyline in OG series was original. The novel primarily focused on Noh, Pun, and their schoolmates, much like the 2024 adaptation. If I remember correctly, all-girls school characters barely made an appearance here and there (except for Yuri or Aim.)
I imagine the producers of the 2014 Love Sick wanted to give their adaptation the feel of an ensemble teen drama, similar to the 2013 hit Hormones. It was probably a way to ensure the series had broader appeal in case the BL aspect didnβt click with audiences, since Love Sick is considered the pioneer of Thai BL as we know it. There were also an insane number of episodes to fill in.
Funny thing is BL series with predominantly/full male casts are now the trend (Unfortunately. It feels ridiculous sometimes)
