it actually picks up a lot after ep 12, i enjoy the overall vibe of the story in the FL's second life more and the friendship (and bromance) between the characters. also this drama should have been marketed as a comedy xianxia, most of the scenes are just hilarious.
after watching the first couple ep, it's honestly not bad at all, it's like tmopb but like quirkier, maybe for a younger audience. there's a lot of focus on the main couple but the second couple is honestly more interesting , like xue qianxun wow he is one fine man + qingqing the bird, can't wait to see their relationship develop. i can see why people may see it as bland tho, chinese watchers compared dylans acting to an AI lol. but this is personally my type of drama, cgi + sound effects are nice as well.
i honestly dk why people r so negative in the comments, i've watched the animation and the drama obv won't be the same as donghua just cause of cgi limitations and we just don't want actors breaking their bones in the stunts. the beginning is a bit slow but once u get to ~ep 7 definitely picks up. xiao zhan is doing an amazing job so far with his lines. although wu xuanyi's character is just written kinda bad she does pretty good ! i'm glad the actor for ao sika was chosen he's so funny. also glad that zhu zhuqing had more lines. overall a very great watch so far and i'm glad it airs everyday !!
i just watched the first 2 ep and skimmed the rest. it's actually looking pretty good, the visual of the cast is immaculate and it just seems like a cute fluffy drama with nice sets !
