@Pate Does cruel city have a slow start too? Because I remember I only watched 4 episodes and it started okay than it dragged within those episodes which is why I dropped. But I saw the ratings. Does it grow into something intense like this did?
Plot holes? or just rushed? What happened to secretary kim?
Was just a dream at the end? or did he die? Yoon joo young is still a loan shark so wouldn't it be difficult to get out of that world? On top of that the world still isnt safe for yoon joo young which is kim do hyung's goal was sinces shes still a loan shark. Or was that ending scene a fastfoward to the future?
I honestly, pictured the ending to be them at a place where no one knows them(as Kim do hyung said) It would've fit well considering the damage that has been done and the fact that secretary kim is still out there.
Did anyone noticed that Joo Young's mother suddenly disappeared out of nowhere..
@Anchovydee Yeah wtf? LOL. She wasn't even at her funeral! Are we missing something? did they mention they killed her? Though her family is very selfish her mom and the brother only wanted her money and to marry kim do hyung for money. I guess its because at this point they are irrelevant to her after all of that.
Can someone explain how the hierarchy in episode 1 works? One guy beats up a higher ranking person and becomes slightly richer? Is that how it works? If so why is number 2 homeless and number 1 extremely rich?
Is this worth watching? What role does Lee Shi Young play?
YES! The first two episodes are a huge turn off though. I was gonna drop it. But honestly, those first two episodes are nothing like the episodes after it. So I'd say its a slow start but a huge roller coaster after.I'd give it a 9/10 so far which is rare for me to rate something that high. Lee shi young plays as the detective. If you like suspense/thriller/crazy dark love stories than this is for you.
Deleted my old comment since my views have changed on this drama. For people wondering about if this is worth…
@dejawufan I should delete my original comment as well. After watching 4 episodes, I definitly agree with you Its brilliant! The first two episodes do not set the tone of the drama! each episode got better haha

@dejawufan I finished episode 2 its okay so far. But the part were Kim Do Hyeong is TOO obsessive with his bride feels so weird like it didn't really give me a reason to sympathize for him other than the fact that they are suppose to marry soon. he also doesn't really talk that much but I guess its because hes hiding something. Do later episodes answer this?
I don't know why people are complaining about this drama I like everything about it including the cops, Lee Shi…
@Marooya does it pick up after two episodes? I came in thinking it was a thriller but it wasn't until during the end of episode two that got my attention.
I hope I wasn't the only one not seeing those twists coming very very early. I mean I'd assume they'd find out tae in and gun woo were cops sooner or later but not this fast! Really leaves me thinking this drama could be full of twists and turns which is my cup of tea.
Very good first episode! I hope they keep this up! :) Nowdays I feel like I should strictly stick to cable dramas likes tvn and ocn. I just can't watch any of the kbs and sbs dramas after watching them. Cable dramas are too epic and more original.
