Just finished the drama and I can say it without hesitant... It's the best drama of 2020. This drama gave me memories, tears, smiles and so much more emotions that only few dramas have given. Can't wait for season 2
i don't know why i keep coming back here... honestly, I just watched this a week ago, and I didn't really appreciate…
I totally understand you. I think I have been through such feeling. The thing is for me personally if I had been given heads up about Chinese censorship. China doesn't allow the portrayal of gay relationship in dramas or movies. So basically this isn't even a romantic drama in the first place. It's more of a B romance and best friend. But the novel is BL and have a lot of physical affection scenes among the main leads. I think if new viewers who are used to other BL with more romance, would be a bit disappointed getting nothing like that in the drama. It should be clarified to them earlier.
I too on my first watch was kinda like... Whattt? But then I got so much immersed in the story itself that I forgot about romance.
The Untamed is famous because of its unique, and thrilling story.
I want to address the lack of skinship and kisses etc. I feel like in the start it felt so good. I was loving how they are not jumping to bed or kissing in 3 or 4th episode like the usual BL. It's nice to see that they're slowly progressing. But what 2gether did was... It never progressed. Their physical relationship remained quite static. It would've been nice if it was shown that the both of the leads have grown comfortable with each other physically too by the end of the series. But what we see by the end of series is complete opposite of that.
The drama started off very strongly. The last few episodes were quite disappointing (especially after they became couple). Tine character buildup was so much better. I could see Sarawat's character actually turning very bland. Like the kind of emotions and love he had in the start... You can't see that in the end. And idk how did it even happen. It's shocking. I think it would've been a better ending if Tine left Sarawat and they call it quits and realize that the time for their relationship is over. At least in that way their good memories can be saved and cherished and actually had a meaning. But now it feels like even if they're together it's just not that good and healthy relationship.
Anyways. Overall I won't be too harsh. I'll still give it a 7.5 or 8/10.
But yes. The drama definitely was overhyped. I think BrightWin deserves a better story. As the actors are clearly extremely talented. Especially I'm in love with Win's acting skills and it was just his first drama. He have a bright future ahead of him. Can't wait to see him in more dramas.
And about S02 of 2gether. I'm not sure. The ending didn't make me crave for a 2nd season.
I saw a lot of people ask for S02. I know it'll be fun to watch the story continues. But I think s01 wraps a lot of stuff. We can still live on without a S02. Jisoo and Gyuri lived and escaped. The scene that shows giving water to that Jisoo's pet was an indication that Jisoo and Gyuri are safely living somewhere (that's just my prediction).
This is such a thrilling movie. I was on edge the whole movie. I had no clue what was about to happen. I formed connection with all the actors and it was Rollercoaster ride. Oh My GODDD
Idk. Honestly when people ask me what's so great about this BL that you're so obsessed with it... Idk. Idk what to say. I just love it. Idk why. But there's something about this BL that no other BL made me feel. I love the actors soooooo much. I really am going to miss this drama and waiting for every Fridays :(
It wasn't the best. But it wasn't the worst either. People really be hating too much on it... More than it deserves.
Also the last episode was one of the most jaw dropping and intense episode I have ever seen in a Kdrama.
The drama is definitely a one-time good watch.

South Korea should make more dramas like The World of Married and Sky Castle. These two are my most favorite dramas.
