Same. It's also on hold for me at the moment too at the amnesia arc too. lol. Plot has definitely l slowed down and lost its gripping tension it had in the beginning. But i still do want to see it to the end for MZY and LYX.
I read an article where Meng Zi Yi said she was once rejected for a role because she was “too beautiful.” She openly said she would’ve been fine with honest feedback — whether it was her acting skills, her popularity, or anything else that made her unfit. She wanted real reasons, not vague excuses. But some people actually called her tone-deaf for that and said she should’ve just accepted the rejection as a polite way to say no. That’s complete nonsense and exactly why this industry is so toxic. If there’s a legitimate reason she doesn’t fit a role, just say it. It’s not complicated. Yes, I agree she has room for improvement. I’ve been a fan since The Untamed, and while her growth isn’t extreme or dramatic, it’s definitely there. There’s more fluidity in her facial expressions, less stiffness, and more depth in her emotional range. She’s not the best actress out there, but her acting is far from bad or “unfit” because of her looks. And saying her acting is bad because all she does is "opening her eyes very big" is way too simplistic. Acting is more than one expression. If you think she needs to improve, point out the specific moments or scenes would be way more helpful than just a one-note insult.
And also appearance has always been a major factor in the Chinese entertainment industry and pretty much everywhere else. So stop pretending “too beautiful” is some kind of insult or valid critique of her talent. Judging her based on how she looks instead of her skills is lazy, disrespectful, and insulting.
I think I'm being too greedy. LOL. It's only episode 8 but i want them all cute and all over each other. But then I really do enjoy this enemies to lover angst and do want a slow burn as well lol. The tension is too much!!!
Ugghg. How is the cast so perfect lol. I've never seen anyone match Seol In Ah energy as much as Jung Kyung Ho. Lol. And N... uggggh he just fits their chaotic energy too somehow.
