It’s a shame that these to dramas are even being compared. I personally enjoy Alchemy of Souls. But these two dramas are literally different genre and different plots. So I don’t get why they are even compared to begin with. I like BM just as much as AOS.

I just finished this drama. And boy! This has been the BEST drama I've seen this year. It is also the best drama I've seen since Nirvana in Fire. ZLS and LW had fire chemistry with each other and they portrayed their character so well. The story was written in a way where it did not drag nor did make me bored. Every episode served and every character was well written. I honestly love Shaoshang's family except for her mother for whom I grew to love- though I understand why she act that way towards shaoshang considering the time period. I'm just glad that she did eventually know she was at wrong for treating shaoshang the way she did. I love Empress Xuan- she was the mother that shaoshang yearns for from her actual mother. She has a kind heart from the beginning to the end. Consort Yue is another favorite of mine too. She was kind and fair. She knows right from wrong and doesn't care to punish those who were in the wrong even if they were blood related. The emperor has to be my favorite emperor from every political c-drama I've watched. He was kind, caring, and loving. His love for zisheng was like a father. He worries for him when he's out to war. He's worry for him when shaoshang almost got married to Lou Yao. Overall, he only wants zisheng to be happy, safe and healthy.

Sorry for the ramble. Lol. I had too. But like why was the last 8 episodes so sad. I cried in every episode! lol

Zhu Zhe feels a lot like Sheng Mei from season 1 and 2. But I don't know about this season. I'm not really attracted to it. I found myself to skip multiple scenes.

Just when I thought we've come to the end of that damn lamp lady, she appears again. uggghh. On a happier note, I can't wait for XY and RQ story.

Can we get more Jie Li and Shangque! They're so adorable! I love the scene where Shangque was getting the candy for Jielie knowing that she love sweet things. Also, human Changheng is sooo adorable! like he wasn't scared of getting punished but was afraid of not getting his monthly money lol

I was so sure in episode 5 that PCH is not big mouse but then the ending of episode 6 hits me and now I am confused again!!! uggggghhh!!! How can I wait for another whole weeeeeekkkkkkk!!

Wow! just Wow! Episode 2 blew me away!!! the last 10 minutes of park changho beating up someone was like a breath of fresh air, but he just wanted to die lol. I'm to starting to think,, might be a long shot, but, what if Changho is Big Mouse. What if all those red flags we saw, changho just pretended to take bait to take Jihoon and the rest of the bad guys down. IDK. Honestly cannot wait for next week episodes.

I didn't really like the first episode but I'm gonna keep watching it because who knows, maybe, it'll get better. I really like Sejeong from a business proposal so i wanted to give this a try.

First episode was great! I missed LJS so much! He did great as always. Yoona did great too. I don't know why people are hating on her or whatever. She's improved so much in her acting since her K2 days. Like have y'all seen her in Hush? Anyways, did Changho not see any of the red flags lol. I mean someone calls you at night to go meet somewhere suspicious and he still went? and then he got the evidence and rushed to the supposed killer? And then drank something a stranger gave him....I only hope that he gets smarter.

I used to love Song Hye Kyo back in the early 2000s but recently, her drama picks aren't that great which is why I am straying away from her works.

I honestly can't find any chinese actors and actress who would embody Dong Man and Ae Ra the way PSJ and KJW did.
