HE DIDN'T HAVE TO REJECT HER DIRECTLY, he could've talked to her instead of asking Jiao lol talking with someone and telling them it's not the right time to talk wouldn't be a form of rejection or against the rules.

Duoduo is mature and loyal her character is great, she deserves better. Tbh, if Lechen and her were to be the endgame I wouldn't be happy about it either because of how Lechen is. I think he has too much going on with his life, like he needs to heal himself first. I dont think he is capable of having long term relationship. I could say the same for Luyuan.
