He was going to die eventually according to Daniel Lee , because of the brain transplant surgery, so why fake his death? No point in faking his death at that point. He's got emotions now and the guilt was killing him. This was a pretty good ending in my opinion.

Exactly right Choi Young Shin in the end lost the fight but won the war , she did not even care if she died and just wanted to pass that stupid law. In the end she was released early by the president, and everyone agrees she probably was killed by him i.e revenge for his son. But anyways she got her end goal of passing that bill ,so fcking happy ending for her I guess, xD.
Like come on help the kids with psychopathic genes, instead of passing a stupid law to abort them. As we can see that all of them are not killers, even psychopaths' like JBR could be helped. Here, JBR may not have ended like that if not for that b***c who only wanted to pass that stupid law ,by triggering JBR to kill more and more.
