This new wave of cdrama watchers are very superficial. They rate good excellent, bad mid, and mid amazing. The ratings on this site haven’t been trustable for a long time. This drama is well done compared to others but by no means a 9.2. There is choppy editing, random meetups between characters that make no sense, and overall little depth. Same thing with Blossom, the most overhyped cdrama on this site. Just watch and rate as you please, majority on here are vain and not reliable raters.
Fan Chengyu is too controlling. She knocked out Huai’an and drugged Xie Zheng. I get it was to protect them but if someone did that to her, no matter the intentions, she would not take it lightly. And she can’t make that decision for them. It’s nice to see a FL with character flaws, excellent writing.
Probably none of u new Cdramas watchers will know this, but I got a wave of nostalgia when I saw the actress who plays FL’s best friend. She was FL in Somewhere Only We Know, such an amazing modern drama!! ❤️🥹

this is not necessarily correct that it’s used in more historical settings. “a” is a term of endearment and in front of jie means dear sister, it is used frequently in the modern world aswell as jie jie depending on the context.

It’s the best drama this year. As for the 9.2, objectively it’s overrated. Not complaining, I’d rather this be overrated than some of the other trash they’ve rolled out this year and 2025. Nonetheless, you should watch it for sure, it’s worth the time
Idk what you’re talking about but I’ve been getting vibes something abt her is different than everyone else in the story. Like she feels like she has some sort of outside knowledge. If that’s a story plot it makes some sense
After seeing Zhang Linghe’s racist comments about South East Asians, I will continue to watch on other websites not Netflix so I don’t support him. If you care about discrimination at all, you all should follow suit.
In all of my cdrama watching over 150+ dramas, this is the first time I’ve seen an actual strong female and male lead. Dramas always advertise it as that but the leads always back down and choose “good” which later bites them in the butt. I didn’t expect any less from the writers of the best cdrama ever, Love like the Galaxy ❤️💯
