If you're really looking for modern cdramas, watch Lighter & Princess or Tale of Rose. But I would really suggest Princess Agents even though it's historical.

Princess Agents is completely different from your normal royal family historical drama. It's about a girl who loses her memory and becomes a warrior and punishes everyone who hurt her or did bad. It's long but a masterpiece. Watch the first few episodes and get back to me. You can watch on YT or Kisskh.

That's a lie! You've obviously never watched Chinese dramas and are used to Koreans overacting and overenunciating everything.

I find it weird when Uyghur actresses are cast in historicals and are meant to pass as Han Chinese, but since this is set in the desert, it makes some sense. Excited to watch.

Episode 50 is when I started having to use my patience but it might vary for you, the amazing story makes up for the ending.

Ignore my previous comment but it's definitely worth watching. It's one of the best cdramas to ever exist if you disregard some of the last episodes.

There's no good modern ones ongoing now but you can try In between, I don't like it but you might.
