Oh I see :) Yeah it was a provoking journey indeed. I guess if I had known the film maker and his style before maybe I would have had a different opinion about the movie.
I watched it at a Film Festival in Germany and it was highly recommended ... I can understand why.^^
As I said I was totally unprepared and had no idea what I was going to watch. But even though it was not my cup of tea it got stuck in my head for sure.^^
What other movies of Kim Ki Duk can you recommend? Any favorite that I should give a try? :)

Well I wasn't prepared to this kind of movie when I went with my friends..
What I thought was so irritating and at that moment ridiculous was for example when the guy raped his mother and the next day she cooked for him waiting at the table for him to come eat.
I mean WTF? Awkward.
Or how they spent days together afterwards..
Or in the beginning when her character was introduced and she appeared infront of his house. he opened the door and wanted to shut it again when she put her hand inbetween!! He kept hitting her hand with the door.. but she didn't pull it away.
Or when he was sleeping and she helped him jerking off!!!!!!!!! I thought "Omg wtf is wrong with her?"...
Both seemed like insane people..
I couldn't relate to any of them in any way..
Towards the end when we realize it's not his real mother it started making sense.. but i still didn't like the story^^

I can't give it a 10 though cause I was a bit disappointed with some of the characters and the story itself. Especially the ending it happened too fast for me.
The beginning was brilliant, it captured me right from the first episode.. then halfway through the drama it changed.
I started to dislike the main actress for her behavior.. she didn't talk much when she had to.. and all in all it just frustrated me watching her...
On the contrary the kid was pure win!! One of the reasons I kept watching. I just loved him!! So freakin adorable! :D
The drama was awesome but the ending sucks.. like always. I don't understand how script writers can ruin a brilliant story like this!! It started out great, really thrilling, emotional, it had everything a good drama needs.. not to forget the awesome OST... the characters and the way they developed were interesting... I liked that you could NEVER predict what would happen next.. at the end of every episode i wanted to watch more cause it was simply that good! I cried and laughed a lot!!
Overall an awesome drama. I would definitely recommend it!!
But the ending man :( the ending..so disappointing and so many questions left unanswered. After this drama I'll need a break from depressing stuff.
A must-watch for every DBSK and YunJae fan :)
But I agree to Ashu that the main story about the disapperance is not that interesting.

In all :) they are the main cast. And they both won the child award on sbs drama awards 2010 :) they were amazing.. they acted better than some adults xDD
