It does stand on its own but a series is not a 100% copy paste of the book either. There are some good clues in the book which the series doesn't talk about. The book is there for better or thorough understanding of what is happening. Its better to read the book too.

Porsche never does get used to the beating or methods of mafia. He even didn't want Big killed near the end of the book even though he has hurt them a lot. He was concerned about porsche cuz he likes him I guess but I'm sure everyone who was recruited to be a bodyguard in the beginning was shocked at the way things are done cuz its not something easy to get adjusted to also considering the fact that the entire house has a soft spot for porsche since they technically would have killed him if they made this much of a mess. Im sure they red flag men will appear in ep4 since its the drug sex scene but I also hope they don't water it down a lot. Btw Its pretty obvious kinn was gonna kill the dude. No one can pay a ridiculously large amount in 3 days. Its sorta like a deadline on that guys life.
Loved the 3rd episode! It now started to become more serious and Kinn and porsche finally kissed!! But I do have to admit that sometimes the sound effects in the hitting scenes by pete and perth was a bit too animated or not used correctly but other than that everything was just👌Who knew that Bas was such a hottie underneath all that!

Idk yes it could be triggering but almost everyone here knows about it. Also there are trigger warnings in videos so people could not watch that episode or watch the TV version(which prolly don't have those scenes). I doubt people go in search for triggering vids. But it was an important part in the novel cuz that is what technically broke down Pete. So I'm not sure how they will portray this scene. I don't think many would want a watered down version of Pete Vegas either. And vegas doesn't exactly get redeemed. In the novel while Pete does go after vegas he ends up in a coma and they don't tell anything after he wakes up. So he has yet to to pay the price for it.

True. Idk what some people think but everyone was told that its very dark from the beginning. So I too hope that they won't tone down everything and make it soo mellow that pete vegas becomes some sort of a fluffy romance cuz that is not what i'd want. Censoring everything is utterly stupid and serves no purpose when the novel is literally about that.

Time never changes. In the last scene of them in the book, Tay says to Porsche that its not easy as people would say for him to just all of a sudden move on cuz he loves time soo much he will keep on forgiving him. But they do have a major fight though and I believe Tay is finally starting to get tired of all of this drama. He might not give up now but might so in the next book daemi will write.
Search for kinnporsche book on z library. They don't have vegas pete part there though(the confinment and abuse part)so for that u can see it on wattpad.

They definitely did a lot of script writing but I wouldn't bet on them making a tv series before a book cuz at the end of the day script writing and book writing are two very different things. Remember what happened with filmania? The writers clashed with the production cuz they weren't true to her novel. But who knows the might agree to make the script first.
