Haven't seen lee minho is anything but I heard he's pretty good. Now Gong Hyojin is a good actress, I discovered her in It's Okay, That's Love, best healing drama. It's about time I see a out of this world drama.
you are the apple of my eye! it is a 2011 high school movie that immediately made the 2 leads famous. there also…
I've seen You Are the Apple of My Eye, also a good movie from taiwan. I don't know if I will watch the korean adaptation but cannot wait for it. thanks
I don't understand Soo-jin's character at all. Why is she the way she is? What importance does she serve if she is getting so much screentime? idk if someone can enlighten me on that. The storytelling is not good in the way they were trying to achieve, also the underdeveloped characters annoyed tf out me.
That was not the intention of the article. It's just my take on current situation of K-Dramas as I see them
It's great that you’re open about being not an experienced author. However, strong opinions and broad statements in your article can unintentionally spread negativity and create division.
Here are a few reasons why I said things about negativity: 1. author is spreading that "us versus them" mentality especially to newer fans and the older one. Suggesting that only long time fans who has watched #number of dramas can appreciate the "true quality of kdramas".
2. the author literally dismisses these new kdramas (guess who likes these kdramas:- newer fans), that belittles those who may have different tastes or are new to the genre, implying that the enjoyment of certain dramas is only valid if one has the "right" experience.
3. author complains about repetitive tropes are literally presented in a way that feels dismissive. guess what does that do :- readers (newer fans atmost) will feel that their preferences or interests are being attacked rather than engaging in a meaningful dialogue. making the newer fans feel like they don't know quality (a trend these days on this page)
4. author shames (in a subtle way) viewers who enjoy popular or mainstream dramas, silently suggesting that the people who enjoyed those dramas are not enjoying the "true quality of kdramas".
Sharing your perspective is good, but in its current form, it might come across in a way that unintentionally excludes some readers. That's how the article appeared to me. Thank you for your honesty.

Good suspence showcasing the sisters' journey from vulnerability to strength and delivering an engaging storyline with unexpected twists. Superb OSTs too.
Congratulations! Hope you found some twisted pleasure in witnessing how the article cleverly manipulated controversy and negativity to spark attention and get people talking.
Honestly wtf! I'd cry I was Marco but atleast he got the money😅. That twist was the best it made the movie worth it and best 2023 movie(unless there are others). I'd like to see KSH in more psychopath roles. His crazy smile was good. Any movies recommendations from him?
The idea that sex scenes are added to suit westerners ignores the fact that Korean movies (which weren't subject…
That's what I'm saying. I don't get why are some people keep implying the sex scenes are entirely added for the westerns when the scenes have always been there. It's not something new.
Not having explicit sex scenes in dramas (maybe some skin bared in gritty noirs and the like, but definitely not…
I...I don't know what to say/how to respond. Was scared of yr novel at first 😅. Thank you for you response once again. I think undertand now why this change suddenly upsets others. What I would like to know now is how is this drastic change affecting the korean viewers (the older tv-drama viewers), since they've been the one consuming these kind of shows.

I understand your perspective on this and I really appreciate your response. Question: If kdramas didn't have that kind of scenes, do you know why is that? Or why do you think they didn't have that kind of scenes?
Personally, i don't mind whether a drama has sex scenes or not, but i find that a lot of the time when kdramas…
"when kdramas have sex scenes, it doesn't really fit with the story" that's a good bar there. I believe some scenes do not add anything to the story like you said. How about that actually do? It all goes back to why some shows have scenes like that. "One thing im not exactly pleased about is that in sex scen" - I see what you mean by this.
Help me understand this: How are little sexual scenes upsetting everyone? Since when sex is something new? I keep seeing this thing everywhere now. I get that you all are used to holding hands typa thing dramas but why are shows w/ these scenes getting hate now? Why are these shows with these scenes considered tailored to westerns viewers? I think some of y’all seem to think koreans are innocent. They’re just like everyone else. What does this line mean, "However, there's been a noticeable trend of incorporating elements seemingly aimed at Western tastes." ?
Fam & I like it. I need more movie recommendations that are like this. Funny, peak humour, big misunderstanding, househusband, former agent wife/husband. This movie was great!
