at ep 5 and you'd think the pokemon-golden-frog scenes would stick out like a sore thumb, yet it all turns out to be engagingly believeable instead? i can't stress this enough but HUGE props to the special effects team for making fantasy look this realistic

the first 4 episodes, a pure and unadulterated joy to watch! the game concept is so refreshing for a change, the execution is perfect and so are esther and xiaoding for their roles... tomorrow's episodes literally cannot come sooner

(and then there's liu yuning's track being the coolest ost of the year)

RIGHT they're among the best! my personal favorite is dashing youth for the amazing cgi, the shonen really was shonen-ing... i still have to finish i am nobody but i would like to thank neo for being an animated character irl at this point :)))
