I LOVED THIS. Most BL I've seen is either some kind of coming-of-age and involves college/high school students or it's some unrealistic scenario. This was so different. Not only did I love how this drama showed all the difficulties a gay married couple has to go through, but I also just appreciate that they're grown ass adults with a child. It's such a different perspective. I love seeing the lives of a couple who have been together for 6 years, growing in love and happiness but still showing how much you can struggle. I also really have to compliment the acting. In my opinion, the two main leads were SO natural that I would've thought they were actually a long term married couple. I just don't see any tension or awkwardness between them and that's great.
I gotta say after watching this, I understand why lots of people didn't like it. I mean the acting alone is not good.. but with that being said, I went into this with super low expectations and came out kinda liking it 😂
It had a lot more potential than this. The ending climax was very boring. It's very simple, almost too simple.…
I agree. As far as it being a BL series(romantic), it fell extremely flat. I pretty much only finished it because I really like the actors and it was super funny at times. Aoki was an adorable character and I really enjoyed watching him panic lol. But that's basically it.
Man I am obsessed with this... obviously it's not perfect but compared to other action/dark themed series that GMM has put out in the past, this one is light years better already. Also, Gun and Off are literally the PERFECT picks for the characters they play. I can't imagine anyone else playing characters like these.
I'm not gonna claim anyone on this cast is straight up homophobic but a few of them definitely have homophobic tendencies and that's not ok. I used to think this series was pretty decent but I can't get over the things I've seen and heard. The only actors I trust are Saint & obviously Earth. There are a few other actors I like but I can't fully trust them because even if they weren't involved in the bullying, they couldve known it was happening and did nothing. That's just as bad.
Though there are only a few episodes that are subbed, I still think this is one of the best shows that GMM has done. It has pretty much every single thai actor I like and it's super fun and hilarious. I really enjoyed the little I've been able to understand! Hopefully in the future, at some point someone might sub the whole thing but for what I've been given, I'm not mad :p
Can anyone recommend to me any similar Jdramas to this? This is the first jdrama I've seen that I'm actually enjoying…
Honestly, I've never seen any J-dramas like this one. But I can recommend some BL j-dramas/movies that are pretty good. Sometimes it's hard to find good ones because japan can get kind of weird tbh lol. *Ossan's love (which I think would come closest to this if were talking about quirkiness and gives you a good laugh) *30-sai made Dotei Da to Mahotsukai ni Nareru rashii (it's pretty fluffy and light-hearted) *Given (more on the sad side. But the anime and manga made me cry more than the drama) *His- Koisuru Tsumori Nante Nakatta (was kinda slow for me but it was still super cute) *Restart after come back home (feel good movie. I liked it cause it was a more countryside, scenic type of drama. Plus, two insanely adorable male leads)
OK, I'm not gonna say that he's homophobic like everyone else has said.. especially since nobody really knows that for sure. You can't just confirm something that's not comfirmed. He's never said he was against the LGBTQ+ community. However, I still don't think I like or want to support him in this industry because of some of his reactions/things he's done. You should know what you're getting yourself into when you play in multiple BL shows. It's wrong to assume ones sexuality so I get how that can be frustrating but the way he acts can really come off homophobic to people. Everyone else(at least most) in the BL industry tend to handle this kind of situation way better than he does and it makes him look bad. I don't want someone to look bad/homophobic if they really are supportive. I know for some of these actors making these series is just a paycheck and I honestly don't really have a problem with that.. but if you have certain opinions or feelings towards it, it's better to keep that to yourself. Especially since most(not all but most) watchers of BL are part of the LGBTQ+ community themselves. I like Krist as an actor, I really do. But I just don't know how I feel about him as a person. I'm conflicted.
I feel EXACTLY the same way. I loved the message of this short but it was executed extremely poor. I definitely think that the older gen should be represented better in the LGBTQ+ community but it's so uncomfortable to watch an older gentleman(and hes a freaking teacher) imagine a child naked. Like who's idea was that? It's totally unnecessary to use this kind of scenario to tell this story. I mean, it would've been a lot better if he had seen/met up with the father(ex lover) instead of his child. Nani? I'm so confused why they went in that direction.
It's not a BL, it literally only has a gay romance tag because it has a gay character(Weir) but there's like no gay romance happening so far. Even the Manga that it's adapted from is basically just labeled as a regular slice-of-life manga. However, if it's anything like the Korean version of this show(It's called Antique bakery), their might be a little bit of gay romance in later episodes.
