I honestly feel like might have to drop this one. It makes me feel really weird watching a BL with actors that look SO young. I know they are young but they look even younger than they are.
I liked this series a lot but I will say that in my opinion, the support roles in the series are pointless and frankly, annoying. I feel like any scenes that didn't involve the 4 main characters, I ended up completely skipping over. I don't think I've ever done that in any other series. Usually support roles are at least funny but nah.
So you'll are telling me that they've taken out my favorite character :-( even I'm ramking biased Ryan is still…
Yeah I'm confused? Like I get he didn't really speak Thai well but I'm kinda pissed that they would just take him out... especially cause the synopsis literally says that Mek and Boss's relationship is still gonna be a part of the season so I'm just confused how the hell they plan to do that?
I understand, but that's how people end up in a 30 year toxic relationship and when they wake up, it's too late…
Oh don't get me wrong, I agree with everything you're saying. And I don't necessarily think that them just blindingly getting back together without any reconcile first is a good option. I think it's really toxic. He has to attone for what he's done. But idk, if I always kept the same perspective of everyone's relationships the same, then none of the BL's I watch would ever have happy endings. They all have a pretty similar theme of cheating and/or hurting their partners in some way and I don't agree with it. I think maybe I look at it a little less realistic than you do and it's what's made me be able to enjoy a lot more. That's just me though, everyone has different opinions and feels differently than I do and thats totally fine.

I totally agree with you and completely understand what you're saying. But not everyone's relationship is the same. Everyone is different and as unrealistic as it is for a relationship like theirs to work out.. it's not a real relationship. It's fantasy. I still want a fantasy with a happy ending so I can hide from the harsh realities, I mean isn't that kinda of the point of them? I've always admired this series because of how real it seems or feels. But I also realize that relationships like this are already rare in themselves. Seeing them be happy together or maybe having the slightest possibility of them staying together, I'm gonna take that. Take that over all else. I think forgiveness and growth is always an option for those actually willing.
No matter what, I'm still gonna be rooting for Teh and Oh til the very end. I don't think it's abnormal to develop feelings for someone else when you're in a relationship. It happens. However, that doesn't excuse me him from acting upon those urges, especially when you're coming home trying to kiss up on your partner afterwards. I honestly just think he's confused and I don't think his feelings for Jai were ever really that serious. At least serious enough to give up on love. I think that teh and oh have been through WAY too much to just give up on the entirety of their relationship. Whether they just have to become friends again or whether they end up as a couple again, idc.. I just want them in each other's lives in the end.
I think Marco was my favorite character of them all, he was really the only one that was ever actually helpful to anyone else. I'm hoping I get to see more of him in the second season.
I have to say that I was also sort of upset at the lack of physical intimacy between the two main characters as well but I also think about the actors themselves. For some actors, they may not be very comfortable with playing that kind of roll. I've literally seen BL series where directors have literally pushed actors faces together to get the content they wanted and I'm not okay with that. I respect the boundaries of the actors and support them going at their own pace, only doing what they are comfortable doing. Not everyone's story is the same, not all couples express intimacy through physical contact. But I do see where you're coming from. I gotta say, I still enjoyed the series as a whole despite the flaws between the characters.
that's what I keep asking to myself why this series has only 8.4 rating. the story is so simple but well defined.…
Yeah tbh the crying scenes didn't bother me at all haha. If anything, it kind of made the show a little more realistic to me. Not to mention they didn't try to make it pretty(like a lot of American shows do with crying scenes). It was just raw emotion and I can appreciate that a lot.
I still to this day do not understand why this series only has an 8.4 rating. It's so much better and less toxic than any other series I've seen so far. A lot of Thai dramas I watch have rude characters or borderline rape scenes and are rated like an 8.2. I just do not understand at all lol. I get that this a coming of age so there are some sad scenes with heartbreak and some may think the plot is basic but overall their relationship is so healthy and beautiful. Not to mention the acting is fantasic. Plus, whatever little rivalry they had in the beginning got solved in the first episode so we didn't have multiple episodes of hateful energy like some others, yet it was still very entertaining for me. I just finished a different series and I keep coming back to this one because it's in a insanely different league than any other. This series makes me hold everything else to higher standards and I keep getting disappointed. I'm so proud of the team that worked on this.
Late to the party, but so glad I showed up. I accidentally watched the first ep of IPYTM and then found out it…
You literally picked my brain on this. I always really loved the pace of this series... even though at some point I was extremely frustrated. I think that's one of the good things about it, it's frustrating. It makes you want to watch more and more.. and the more you watch, the more satisfaction you get. It's genius. I've watched a whole lot of BL or just LGBTQ+ stuff in general and this is probably the best I've seen. It feels real and the cinematography is amazing. I really don't have much if any complaints about this series and that says a lot cause I haven't seen many that are GENUINELY good. It's nice to know that others feel the same way about it. This BL really changed my life.
