I found the plot very simple and boring, I didn't like the drama and skipped most of the scenes. I only watched it because of Sangmin, but I'm not even going to mark it as finished.
The last few episodes were quite repetitive, unnecessarily so, which was a bit disappointing, but I was hooked on the story from the beginning, so I'll overlook that. I had fun and enjoyed it.
Honestly, my favorite character is Feng Xiyang. She developed from a impulsive and naive girl into a determined, courageous woman who refuses to bow down to those who don't deserve it. At first, I really thought she could change Xia Jingshi and I was enjoying them together, but his actions would disappoint anyone. I devoured the scenes between them and Xia Jingyan; this atmosphere of enemies who need to cooperate is truly interesting. I just don't know what to feel about these two brothers; they were destroyed, and not even repentance and change can erase the wrong they did.
In both the drama and the special, the ending is good. For me, the ending of episode 40 made more sense, implying that he will return just like Si Mu's little brother did, as a spirit. At the beginning, he said that whoever gave him the sword said it could make him immortal; I thought that would happen, but it's okay. I liked the chemistry between the couple, but some parts were boring for me.
