Since we're almost reaching the end and in the trailers it seems some of the side characters are dying/hurt, I hope they'll have a good end at least especially Li Jie, You Chi and Baize cuz I like them so much aside from the main leads😔 even if they're going to die, I hope it'll be done well like in FOF, even though they're all dying but they're dying in a good reasonable way

I saw a comment on xhs and I was laughing so hard because someone said if WSG's master didn't tell him he's the 10th dragon son, he might called Jiling as his dad since he thought he's Chi Wen's son😭 imagine him saying "Thank you, dad" instead lol

First, the shilin sect knows that WSG is being taken care by XLX but because of the attack from JY which they thought it was shilin sect, XLX decided to hide WSG that even shilin sect didn't know his whereabouts.
Second, they're given fair amount of screentime, sometimes they would focus more on this character then next it would be another character.
Third, WSG is still new to this dragon deity thing, he'll get his full power and become a dragon once they get all the dragon power back which the last one is on Hanba. His position as dragon deity will return once he gets full power.

I'm so happy with today's episode because finally we got JL's backstory!🥹 And there seems more to be unfold like how he got the face and became the dragon deity (I've read spoilers but I want to see it myself)

Though I find the story direction is a bit weird... Seconds ago he's scheming with Jiuying, saying he wants to keep being dragon deity then the next second he's telling his sad backstory and saying he's tired and have waited too long for WSG...
I know some people wouldn't believe him and see him as evil because he's plotting with JY
But I know he's pretending which to deceive JY, he's a good liar and deceiver and maybe in some way it can save LWY through unsealing JY?

Another thing, he said formless moon place is hard to go to but seconds later they're there...

I was thinking of taking a break after the illusion arc end and wait until all episodes came out but it was just too interesting that I keep watching
I usually don't mind spoilers but for some reason I really do mind when it comes to VOS😭 like I'm really curious about the story especially about JL and the spoilers kinda answered it but I want to see it myself
I don't want it to end early but I really want to see quickly how the story unfolds

I hope ep17 today will finally show the backstory of YWH/Li Jie, Xizai and fox Ji ling since they've reveal it a lil bit and finally confirmed that WSG is the actual dragon deity and YWH has already mentioned current LS is a fake dragon deity

Based on my understanding after ep16, yuan xizai is the one who has the real face of TJR. Jiling the fox is saved by OG chi wen. he isn't blind anymore as well when xizai died. Fox jiling took his appearance. Honestly I was hoping we could learn more about them

Yes but they have never seen dragon god's face. Shilin sect has been there for a long time. YWH was part of them 150 years ago and they're probably led by OG Chiwen. And 50 years ago when WSG master mentioned Chiwen asked him to protect WSG a long time ago but not more than 150 years ago
So the current dragon god, jiling or whatever his real name might be isn't around that long as the fake dragon god

I'll always think how amazing it is for wuwu living in the illusion for a whole 50 years... For WWY it might feel short and fast since she has lived for a hundred of years and has done this kind of thing for a countless times but WSG is around 100 years and he grows really slow since even after 50 years he's still a teen, so time might feel slower to him.

Unlike jilu who had many sweet and romance scenes since JL fall for her at the first sight and LWY getting closer because he's her fated one (bonus they also met in the past) so their romance are faster, WuWu are literally stranger, they're not an ally and not exactly enemies but is still on opposite sides, their scenes are always full of slander. Jilu flirt at the first sight, Wuwu fight at the first sight.
WWY is cunning and it's in her nature to act flirting and WSG knows it's just an act so he always tried to not get tempted but still feel shy around her, I mean who can resist pretty woman? (I also like whenever he called her out, like the way she sits and talk lmao)
Their romance would probably be the most slow burn if it isn't thanks to the illusion, they literally develop feelings and realized it after 10 years even though they literally live together like a family. And their love grew even stronger as they grow old together too.
Their angst is definitely coming and probably hurt the most with how in love they're now... WWY is probably the one who wipe out his clan and then getting close to him and gaining his trust is part of her mission too... Oh when he finds out🥲

Additionally this illusion arc shows the difference of how fast and slow the relationship between the two cp, it took LWY a few DAYS to make LS shows his JL side and then had a corner mouth kiss and forehead kiss meanwhile it took wuwu YEARS to develop genuine feelings but since they're more mature, they went straight to the point (WSG unboxing WWY)

I feel like LS in the wedding attire really hits different and he finally drop his fake nonchalant act... The way he smiles a lot, acting smug, being all clumsy during the wedding ceremony and he looks so silly when he runs and ask her to wait, he looks even sillier than JL for some reason😭
