Kids do kiss at that age and it's normal. So why wouldn't normal life be shown in films if even killing is?

I could never imagine seeing a mom acting like that in my national tv for example. Her behavior is too cruel.…
I guess you just don't understand. We have a free press and everything goes public. Bad parents go to jail and they are a scandalized then. Authorities are interested in what happens at homes. I have worked in Social Services. It's not me who keeps repeating here in comments that this is how Asian parents are. Of course cultures are different. That cannot be denied. Parenthood is different depending where you live, even if bad parents are everywhere. But here or in YouTube comments Asian themselves keep saying this is how it is. And this authoritarian behavior is not typical in my country. It happens but is rare. And even then no adult would ask their grown up kids money like that. Even less kids would agree to that. Maybe you believe every country is like that. BUT my main point and original comment still was that this kind of parenthood is shown so often in series. Of course this Uea's case was extreme and that's why people comment on it more. So if it is shown often and people keep saying it's happening...

Bad things happen in every country, everybody knows that, but this behavior wouldn't be NORMALIZED in my country and be SHOWN as such on tv shows, was my comment. So called bad moms are not using their ADULT kid's money here, more like neglecting them and not giving money or food when they are MINOR. That could be shown here on tv, but NOT normalized. However, this behavior seems to be normalized by people in those societies maybe by saying this is how Asian families are. So many comments like this about every series here, nobody calls the police who witnesses these situations. "This is Asia", they say. And THAT is an excuse. Should not try to excuse but change traditions by your own behavior. The day when younger generations decides to not pass this on to their own kids, things get better.

I know abt violence in Korean dramas. I mainly avoid those dramas that are too violent, drop them or skip those scenes. That's why I wrote "AT LEAST in Korean dramas", because at least they seem to have it. Not sure how much they can help though. And in reality child protection has enough problems all around the world.

Of course bad things happens in every country. But we were talking about families and yes this is not a habit in families in my country. If this happened and people knew about it, it would be all over the news and become a scandal. We have had a few scandals. Nobody would defend it publicly and try to excuse it. Parents would go to jail. So there's the difference. It seems in some Asian countries this would not be news. And that's sad. If you get angry about this, why is that? You think this behavior is normal and accepted everywhere? And my original post was more about this been shown on tv as a family dynamic.

Like I said, couldn't happen in my country and don't want to watch. All these harmful traditions keep going, because people are too understanding and try to explain them. People should just not to apply these to their own kids and cut the cycle. Unfortunately most don't.

I so agree with everything you say. It's sad there's no child protection in Thailand. At least in Korean dramas you can see official child protection.

I could never imagine seeing a mom acting like that in my national tv for example. Her behavior is too cruel. This is not the first time seeing a family like that in Asian dramas. It's really sad if there are families like that in countries that should value the sense of community and family ties. I skipped her scenes mostly because I don't enjoy watching that. I don't get anything from it and frankly she ruined the series for me. This is not one of the best for me. This is not why I watch dramas or bls.

The victim blaming on this is strong. That boy has been traumatized his whole life, you think it's easy for him…
Unfortunately not all people ever can start stand up for themselves. Those are the people we can read from newspapers how somebody has killed them. Life like that is dangerous. However Uea finally did something in ep 7 that shows he's starting to see he has to do something.

I can see your point, and tbh i agree with you on some level. we dont know if its the production or the actors…
But wasn't there a kiss in the end though in the manwha? So why not here, even a quick peck? Just not natural. I do agree with you about the dead fish kiss, but they could have done it better if wanted to. It's the actors or production's fault, doesn't make much difference. The result is the same, just don't do bl then. Leave it to those who can and there are more and more those who can.

Title Teach Me How
Not much to go on from Ep 1. Most of the ep was imagined fantasies. The shower scene went on far too long. Interesting…
I came here to check this series before watching after seeing this recommmend on YouTube. Found out it's from Philippines meaning not going to waste my time with this. The only bl that was worth watching was Rainbow Prince. Philippines just doesn't have the knowhow yet. And about that always including trans roles as you mentioned. It's annoying since they never have a purpose for the plot. They just want to add those over-the-top characters with no reason.

This will be sad definitely. Jaewon is suddenly sitting alone on the beach in the beginning. First they are both there.

I just read above that the director is German. So in that sense this is not KBL.

The screenwriter and director is German. That explains the edge this one has that regular KBLs don't.
Oh well. This explains a lot and not necessarily in a good way.
